About Casa Dorada
Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa is a timeshare and vacation resort located on the shores of Playa El Médano in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The resort is situated on five acres of prime beachfront real estate in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, within a five-minute walk to downtown dining, nightlife, and the marina. The property features 181 to 188 spacious suites with kitchenettes, two massive freeform pools, a swim-up bar, a private beach club, a full-service spa (Saltwater Spa), and multiple on-site dining options. The resort originally opened in 2001 and was renovated in 2015.
Important note: While some guest reviews mention that the resort has "no pushy timeshare sales people", numerous timeshare owners have reported significant issues with their memberships, as detailed below.
Tenía grandes expectativas con Casa Dorada, pero mi estancia se convirtió en una experiencia deprimente. Las habitaciones no solo estaban viejas, sino que estaban francamente sucias. La alfombra parecía no haber sido limpiada en años y los accesorios del baño estaban manchados y necesitaban urgentemente una renovación. Luego estaba la comida, excesivamente cara para lo que era, básicamente comida recalentada y mediocre. Me quedé preguntándome cómo justificaban esos precios cuando todo gritaba "trabajo a medias"
Casa Dorada Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta left a bitter taste, literally and figuratively. My suite felt as outdated as a relic from a bygone era, with creaking floors and malfunctioning AC that made for a restless night. The promised “exquisite cuisine” was anything but; bland dishes and rushed service did not create the vacation vibe I anticipated.

They are the most disdainful with the most poor service resort I’ve ever been to. I bought a one bedroom unit in Casa Dorada Resort that was supposed to be available anytime we booked it. I tried making the reservation for a week and was told it was not available, so I tried different days, and still nothing. Looks like the units are only available when they want you to use it and at peak points. We have tried to cancel our property but to no avail, I know I will make it in the long run because I keep fighting with them.
I am trying to cancel my timeshare due to health reasons. How can I do that? I tried to get help to lease it out, but was told to pay the week and do it myself....Thanks
Nada de lo que dicen es verdad, nunca encontraras hoteles ni fechas disponibles por la cantidad que ellos te dicen, Nunca. Encuentras los precios incluso mas caros que en el mercado.
The maintenance fees are increasing more than the CPI index stated in the contract. Who do we file a complaint with? Is there a legal standing for a class action lawsuit? Casa Dorada is violating the terms of the contact. This is illegal.
Compramos hace mas de 2 años membresia con este resort, nos prometieron muchas cosas que hasta la fecha no nos han dado, estamos hartos de insistir y pelear contra ellos por telefono, queremos cancelar y aun asi no nos ayudan en nada el resort
esto del tiempo compartido no es para nosotros, nos ha traido muchos problemas y no podemos continuar pagandolo, ya que mas que una inversion es una grab deuda que al parecer es de por vida, existe alguna forma de poder cancelar la membresia? gracias!
High increase in maintenance fee in violation of the contract. Our contract says that maintenance fee can increase only at the US CPI rate (2% in 2018) with a max of 10% but they increased it about 15%. Did you have the same experience? What to do?
