- The resort itself is not built and is still in skeleton phase, the opening date was Dec 15, 2011 and now has change to Jan 2012.
- It’s sold as "Real State" but in fact is a timeshare contract
- Clients are often mislead to believe that in order to have reservation power they need to have a higher level of membership.
- High pressure sales and extensive delay tactics
- The sales person will show the client different floor plans from what the client is actually purchasing, or/and show a demo room which is not at the property of the resort.
- The sales associate refer clients to a rental company to rent their unit for a profit even if the resort it’s not 50% built yet.

Yo compre en agosto del 2011, hasta ahora no he visto ni el complejjo terminado o el regreso de mi dinero, puesto que mande todo lo que ellos requieren para hacer el reembolso. De esto ya hace un a~o y nada ni un documento donde diga donde esta el proseso.

desde dic 2011 lo compre y aun no esta terminado y no me regresan mi dinero, es un fraude. Lo peor es que siguen vendiendo.
I bought in Jan. 2013. I filed a dispute with my credit card co. in August, along with proof they were a scam, and got a full refund. If you purchased this year, contact your credit card co. and file a dispute.
We bought into the resort April 2013. Paid 30K and sold our Mayan timeshare. No luck with emails or phone calls about the progress which I have been told is nothing to this point. We all need to join a class action. Heard the owner has recently been arrested in Mexico City.

They, ie, TAU Resorts, do not live up to and honour their own contract(s).. with regards to new owners who decide to 'Opt-Out' .., under their 'Terms and Conditions'..as Stated in their contract., in a timely manner.
We have been 'In Line' and on a 'list' for reimbursement for more than a year..(actually since late December 2012 +/- ...They, TAU, per their contract, are to reimburse the 'owner' of their fees and payments as prescribed in their contract, if the property is not completed. The property is Not completed..and who knows when it will be. We dont want an 'Exchange' to another.. so called property of theirs.. Just a refund of our 'membership' (as stated in their contract...). Pretty straight forward, but not with this organization.....!
Stay away from this scam.. Yes, it is just that.....!! - - They, TAU may try, but their project is not getting any closer to completion that it was a year ago...!!
too much pressure at the sales presentation they wanted us to buy regardless of anything i just couldn´t believe how desperate this guys are to sell, i saw a lot of programs and choices they had and when we said no they started yelling at us saying we couldn´t afford it i just stood up and left.

I just purchased at Tau Resorts but after the coupons they gave me turned out to be bad I began searching on the Internet. I'm going back today to cancel my contract. I pray I get a refund.
