Viva Resorts by Wyndham operates as a collection of all-inclusive resorts across the Caribbean and Mexico, often marketed under the "Viva Vacation Club" or "Club Viva" membership program. While the resorts themselves offer appealing beachfront locations, a pattern of complaints has emerged from members and guests.

Common Complaints & Issues
A significant number of timeshare owners and guests report similar negative experiences regarding Viva Wyndham and the Viva Vacation Club. These issues often lead owners to seek professional timeshare exit assistance.

High-Pressure Sales Tactics
The sales process is frequently described as aggressive and high-pressure. Travelers report being drawn into lengthy presentations, often marketed as a "special tour" or "free gift," where they feel harassed or misled until they sign a contract. Many members feel they were lied to about the value and flexibility of their purchase.

Misrepresentation of Points & Value
A common scam involves salespeople verbally promising perks and stating that points have more exchange value than they actually do. It is reported that they often sell small point packages, forcing owners to realize they need more points later at a higher cost. The actual value of the points is frequently misrepresented.

Booking & Availability Issues
Members consistently struggle to book the room categories, resorts, or dates they were promised during the sales presentation. This includes encountering blackout dates and limited inventory, which makes the "guaranteed" vacation difficult to access. Customers often describe the experience as a "lack of availability" and poor customer service when attempting to resolve these issues.

Contract & Cancellation Nightmares
While there is a cooling-off period (e.g., 5 business days in Mexico), members frequently report that the cancellation process is extremely difficult. Clients have complained that when they attempt to cancel within the legal period, they are told their deposit is non-refundable, or they face significant hurdles in confirming the cancellation.

Poor Customer Service & Communication
A recurring theme across complaints is the lack of continuity and clarity in service. Guests report that every small request becomes complicated, answers change depending on the staff member on shift, and departments fail to share information. This leads to wasted vacation time resolving administrative issues instead of relaxing.
