Common Complaints:
- Poor Customer Services
- No availability
- Rude sales associates.
- One of the most common scams at the moment of purchase is that Viva Wyndham Maya´s sales person will make you any verbal promise to get you to sign their contract
- Most of their sales are done under high pressure sales tactics, a high number of members at Viva Wyndham feel like they have being lied and scam and most timeshare contracts are being misrepresented.
- Salespeople claim that the points have more value than they actually do for exchange purposes. This is very untrue, it all depend what points you buy and unfortunate they will always sell you the small point package so at the time you realize you need more points.
- Many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable.

I didn’t hate my stay, but it never really clicked either. Things that should’ve been simple, towels, room follow-ups, basic questions, always took longer than expected. A few staff members were friendly, others clearly disengaged. What bothered me most was how often casual conversations slid into promotions, making it hard to just enjoy the trip without feeling “managed.”
I expected a simple, relaxed stay, but little issues kept piling up. Requests were acknowledged and then forgotten, and getting clear answers felt oddly difficult. At some point, casual conversations started drifting toward special programs and “owner perks,” which got tiring fast. It wasn’t one big disaster, just a lot of small annoyances that made the stay feel longer than it should’ve been.
Our stay at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach was far from enjoyable. The check-in took ages, and our room wasn’t ready even though we arrived well after the stated time. Once inside, we found broken tiles and a persistent musty odor, and the cleaning service was hit-or-miss. To make matters worse, staff kept approaching us about attending timeshare presentations every time we tried to relax by the pool.
We stayed at Viva Wyndham Dominicus and it was far from the tropical escape we expected. Our room had cracked tiles and weak air conditioning, and housekeeping skipped our room more than once. Most days were marred by pushy sales staff trying to get us into timeshare presentations, which felt intrusive and exhausting.
We tried Viva Wyndham Dominicus thinking it might be a simple, carefree trip — but it was far from that. The room we got had peeling paint, the AC was almost useless, and towels were soggy. The buffet seemed neglected: stale bread, lukewarm dishes, no variety. On top of this, we were constantly approached by staff pushing a “membership presentation.” Made me feel like a walking target, not a guest.
