Westgate was a letdown. The resort looks polished in photos, but in person it’s more like a dated timeshare complex. The check-in process dragged on forever, and right after that, we were hit with the timeshare pitch. It felt more like a sales event than a vacation.

The room was fine but not worth the cost. Walls were thin, and we could hear everything from the hallway and next door. The amenities were basic at best, and with all the added fees, it didn’t feel like a good value.

Westgate was stressful from the start. Parking was a mess, and the lobby was overcrowded. The room we were given wasn’t ready, even though we checked in well after the official time. When we finally got in, it was poorly cleaned — the sheets didn’t look fresh and there were still items left behind from previous guests.

Adding to the frustration, they pushed us hard to attend a sales presentation. We agreed just to stop the pressure, but the presentation itself lasted hours and was full of confusing promises. It felt like they cared more about getting people to sign up than running a proper resort.

We went to a Westgate resort for the first time and didn’t enjoy it. The timeshare sales pitch was relentless, and when we said no, the staff became noticeably less friendly. It really left a bad taste.
The room was also underwhelming—old furniture, musty smell, and not very comfortable. The resort facilities felt overcrowded, and we couldn’t enjoy much without waiting in long lines. Overall, it didn’t feel like a good vacation.

No volveríamos a hospedarnos allí.

We stayed at Westgate Orlando and while the pools were nice, everything else was frustrating. The staff constantly pushed us to attend their sales meeting. Even when we declined, they wouldn’t take no for an answer. We came to relax, not sit in a room for hours being pressured into buying.

The rooms were also a bit outdated and not cleaned as well as we expected. Between the sales tactics and the poor upkeep, this resort is not worth the hassle.

Westgate Lakes Resort has nice grounds, but the sales staff is relentless. We said no to the presentation, yet they called our room twice during the night to “remind” us.
