- The seller convinces the customer to waive their five-day right to cancel, claiming that the membership they are purchasing is a special one-day-only offer.
- The seller promises to sell the customer’s old timeshare so they can pay for the new one. In the end, the customer is referred to a resale company that doesn’t sell their old timeshare, leaving the customer stuck with two timeshares and the maintenance fees for both properties.

Hotel Xcaret es muy bonito, pero todo se tiene que reservar por anticipado, incluso para los restaurantes. Además, nos invitaron a una charla que terminó siendo sobre un programa vacacional. No nos gustó ese tipo de sorpresas.
Xcaret’s resort was beautiful, but it felt a bit too controlled. Everything had to be booked ahead of time, and if you didn’t, you missed out. Also, we were invited to a “presentation” that ended up being about joining a vacation club. We weren’t expecting that kind of pressure.
Xcaret es impresionante visualmente, pero no fue tan relajante como esperábamos. Todo debe reservarse con anticipación, y si no tienes suerte, te quedas sin lugar. También nos ofrecieron una supuesta experiencia VIP que en realidad fue para vendernos membresías. Muy incómodo.
Xcaret is beautiful, and the parks are fun, but the whole vacation felt overly scheduled. You have to book everything through apps and wait for transport constantly. We also got invited to a “private breakfast” that turned out to be a timeshare pitch. That left a bad taste in our mouths.
Arruinaron nuestra estadía con la insistencia de que firmáramos su “membresía”. Dijeron que era solo informativo, pero nos sentaron por horas, y hasta se enojaron cuando dijimos que no.
Hotel Xcaret Arte was beautiful on the surface, but wow the pressure to buy into their vacation club was NONSTOP. They told us it’s not a timeshare… but it 100% is
Hotel Xcaret presume ser ecológico y de lujo, pero lo que hacen con los tiempos compartidos es ABUSIVO. Nos prometieron reservas sin problemas, descuentos en todo… nada se cumplió. Me siento completamente engañada
Don't be fooled by the pretty marketing of Xcaret. We stayed at Hotel Xcaret México and they wouldn’t stop harassing us about their membership program. When I tried to cancel 2 days later, they hit me with legal threats?! Wtf. Seriously, avoid.
Xcaret se ve muy bonito por fuera, pero la experiencia fue muy diferente a lo que esperábamos. Apenas llegamos y ya nos estaban presionando con lo del club vacacional. Nos dijeron que era flexible y que podíamos cancelar, pero nada de eso era cierto. Perdimos dinero y tiempo.
I really thought Xcaret would be worth the price, until we saw how much of our time they’d waste just trying to sell us a "vacation plan". They dangled fake perks and lied about availability. Nightmare.
