Hotel XCARET Timeshare COMPLAINTS
Hotel Xcaret México, Hotel Xcaret Arte, La Casa de la Playa

Legal name: Experiencias Xcaret Web S.A.P.I. de C.V., Experiencias Xcaret Hoteles, S.A.P.I de C.V, Naturama Tours Adventures S.A. de C.V. and Naturaprehispánica Ventura S.L (grupo Xcaret)
Common Complaints from Xcaret Members:
- The seller convinces the customer to waive their five-day right to cancel, claiming that the membership they are purchasing is a special one-day-only offer.
- The seller promises to sell the customer’s old timeshare so they can pay for the new one. In the end, the customer is referred to a resale company that doesn’t sell their old timeshare, leaving the customer stuck with two timeshares and the maintenance fees for both properties.
- Difficulties in making a reservation.

Hotel Xcaret is gorgeous, but the aggressive sales tactics are a huge turn-off. They cornered us in the lobby to invite us to a “quick breakfast meeting” that turned out to be a full-blown sales pitch.
The scenery and parks are gorgeous, but they really need to back off on pushing the membership. We were stopped multiple times during our stay and it got annoying. For the price, that shouldn’t be part of the experience.
Hotel Xcaret is visually stunning, but the constant upselling left a bad impression. We paid for a vacation, not to be chased about a “lifetime membership.” Just let people enjoy their stay.
We went to Hotel Xcaret expecting a peaceful escape. Instead, we were pressured repeatedly to attend a “presentation” about their membership program. We declined, but it kept coming up. The service otherwise was okay, but that experience left a bad taste.
Hotel Xcaret is visually stunning, but that doesn’t make up for how poorly they handle memberships. We were approached about buying into their “travel club” and they kept pushing even after we said no. Didn’t expect to be pestered like that at such a high-end place.
