Royal Holiday has been difficult for us mainly because our travel habits changed. We originally expected to use the membership several times a year, but that hasn't happened. The problem is that changing your travel plans doesn't necessarily change the commitment you've already made.

I wish the sales process had made the long-term side of membership ownership feel as important as the vacation benefits. If you're considering joining, think about how realistic your usage will be several years from now, not just next summer.

I had a problem with Crown Paradise Club when the membership benefits didn't seem nearly as useful for the type of trips my family actually takes. We don't always travel during the same periods, and availability became a bigger issue than we expected.

At some point, I realized we were trying to plan our vacations around the membership instead of using the membership to make our vacations easier. That's a pretty important distinction, and I wish we'd recognized it sooner.

One thing that disappointed me at Crown Paradise was how long some basic requests took to resolve. We weren't asking for anything unusual, but getting an answer sometimes involved waiting and then checking again later.

The staff members we dealt with were generally pleasant, so I don't think this was an attitude problem. It felt more like the hotel was struggling with organization at certain points during our stay.

Golden Shores sounded appealing because we wanted a reliable option for family vacations. The difficulty has been finding dates that actually work for everyone. Having access to a program isn't especially useful when the available options repeatedly conflict with work and school schedules.
We've had to compromise on our plans more often than I expected. Eventually that makes you question whether the membership is providing the convenience you were promised in the first place.

Con Golden Shores la principal decepción fueron las cuotas y la dificultad para aprovechar la membresía en las fechas que realmente necesitamos. Tener una membresía durante años no sirve de mucho si cada viaje requiere adaptar todos nuestros planes a la disponibilidad.

Antes de comprar, creo que es importante hacer números y pensar en cómo viajarías realmente, no solamente en los destinos que aparecen durante la presentación.

Cuando estás pagando año tras año, esperas poder utilizar lo que compraste. Si constantemente tienes que cambiar tus planes para adaptarte a la disponibilidad, el valor de la membresía empieza a ponerse en duda.

Golden Shores initially seemed like a sensible way to make future vacations more predictable. What I didn't anticipate was how often we'd have to work around the membership rather than the other way around. The dates that suit our family aren't always the ones that are easiest to book.

After dealing with that repeatedly, I've started questioning whether the convenience we were promised is actually there. A vacation membership should make planning simpler, not leave you wondering whether your schedule will ever match the available options.

Our stay at Crown Paradise wasn't a disaster, but it certainly wasn't as smooth as we expected. Several small requests required follow-ups, and we occasionally received different answers depending on who we spoke with.

What bothered me was the amount of effort required to get ordinary things sorted out. By the second half of the trip, we were keeping track of who we'd spoken to and what had been promised. That's a strange way to spend a family vacation.
