If you unfortunately enter into a timeshare contract with Royal Holiday as a result of high-pressure sales tactics or misrepresentation of information, you have rights, and you are able to cancel your timeshare contract if you act quickly.
It is well known that Royal Holiday doesn’t have the best reputation in the timeshare industry.
A lot of timeshare members at Royal Holiday feel like they have been cheated and deceived because most of the timeshare contracts are being misrepresented.
Royal Holiday could also be stated as one of the worst timeshare companies, as mentioned before in:
Royal Holiday Timeshare Complaints
Park Royal Timeshare
With many destinies, including the Mexican Caribbean and Pacific, the United States, Argentina and Puerto Rico.
Park Royal, part of the Royal Holiday resort chain, promises a nice, comfortable and restful vacation experience for families and for business purposes near the beach.
This sure sounds all good until you see the reviews for this resort's timeshare field on the Complaints Board Blog.
Many clients from around the world, mostly from the United States and Canada, have claimed that the salespeople of the Park Royal timeshare business are pushy and demanding of their time when all they want is to have a peaceful time in their suites.
As told by tourists who were guests at Park Royal resorts in Mexico, on other noted travel blogs like Yelp and Trip Advisor, they posted about the massive dissatisfaction they felt as they were deceived with many discounts on whatever you can imagine, so you are persuaded to use a credit card and pay thousands of dollars that are "promised" to be refunded in exchange the supposed benefits you will receive.
Just like Royal Holiday's scam, Park Royal can also be found on the internet in lists of the worst timeshare companies, for obvious reasons.
This leads people to want to sell their Royal Holiday membership as well as the Park Royal one after understanding they were scam victims.
Why Cancel Royal Holiday Timeshare Membership?
By now, you have already realized that you will not be able to afford the timeshare membership and that you can travel for a cheaper rate on your own.
Beside the lots of complaints around the web about Royal Holiday timeshare membership:
Most of their sales are done under high pressure.
At the moment of the purchase, the timeshare salesperson will make a verbal promise to get the contract signed. Those verbal promises are not stated in the contract.
Customer service at Royal Holiday is only good if the member is calling to make a payment.
Royal Holiday’s salespeople tell you they will send you all the information about your contract via email, but this email will never arrive.
Booking with Royal Holiday is very difficult, almost impossible. They tell you that you need more points, and you will need to upgrade and pay even more.
The Same thing applies to giving up on your Park Royal timeshare membership, as you can see in the blog reviews, the complaints are similar to the ones above.
People are reporting the same issues with deceitful salespeople and the resort staff not being as nice as they were before the clients denied their attendance at a timeshare meeting.
Also, after being convinced and buying a membership, clients report being forced to upgrade it in order to enjoy the benefits they were promised at first.
Besides, other clients found out their timeshare was never available for the dates they wanted to reserve, and sometimes they had to pay even more money to book rooms they already "owned".
Leaving them feeling furious and cheated even when online, the suits are available for non-members at a lower price.
How do I Cancel my Royal Holiday Vacation Club Membership?
If you are stuck with a timeshare at Royal Holiday you don’t want, you are within the rescission period, and you are wondering how to cancel your Royal Holiday membership. You must follow the next steps to successfully rescind your timeshare contract:
Read very carefully your timeshare contract with Royal Holiday and look for the clauses about the cancellation of the contract.
Write a cancellation letter and send it to the resort via certified mail to Royal Holiday. Keep the evidence that you canceled on time.
If you've already sent a letter, you should receive a refund of the money you paid.
If Royal Holiday doesn’t agree to do it, you probably need to hire a timeshare attorney to help you finalize the cancellation process.
What Happens If the Revocation Period Has Expired?
The problem with the timeshare scam is that when buying and signing a contract, people don't recognize they're agreeing to terms and conditions in a different country, so when the fraud comes to light, it's too late to cancel it, and they're maybe too far away by that time.
If, after reading this article, you're still interested in buying a timeshare in Mexico or another type of purchase involving large amounts of money, you can take a look at the federal consumer protection Law (PROFECO) before doing any business and avoid being a fraud victim.
Every timeshare contract has a rescission period that is mentioned in the contract, it depends on the country in which the purchase was made.
In Mexico, the rescission period to cancel a timeshare membership is 5 business days.
Unfortunately, many timeshare owners realized that they had been scammed after this rescission period expired.
In this situation, the cancellation of the contract is not easy, but it is not impossible either.
Once the rescission period has expired, some timeshare owners choose other options to rescind the timeshare contract, like selling their royal holiday membership, renting it or donating it.
How Do I Get Out of My Royal Holiday Timeshare?
The only viable solution to obtain relief is timeshare cancellation.
A Royal Holiday Club sales associate tells you that you are making a great investment, but a timeshare is never a good investment because there is no market for renting out or selling your Royal Holiday membership.
This is the reason many timeshare owners are giving away their units for quite a low price.
They just want to get rid of it and the unfair fees charged over the years.
NOTE!
There are many timeshare cancellation companies that claim to help people cancel their timeshare contracts but ask for money upfront.
To cancel your Royal Holiday timeshare membership, you don’t have to pay an upfront fee.
Is there any way to get out of a timeshare?

I, too, fell for the Royal Holiday scam. I should know better! I am past the five day cancelation period. They have my deposit and the remainder is due mid-April. I won't give them any more money, but I would like to re-coup some of my losses, if possible. I have notified my credit card company that I believe this is a fraud and I have contacted Profeco (but haven't heard back from them). I have not yet told Royal Holiday that I cannot afford to pay any further fees to them and I want to cancel my membership.
Does anyone have any advice? Thanks so much!
In a future post I will tell more of the story so others can learn from my mistake.
I'm a victim of rhc. My story is readable in RedWeek.com website. Its criminal what rhc does. And there should be much more options to members to fight back these scams. And rhc should pay big money to all those victims for suffering.. They abuse even laws.. Assault people.. Its nasty business they run.
While vacationing in Puerto Vallarta., we agreed to attend a time share meeting. (We were told that it would take no longer than two hours, and that we would receive free tickets to a dinner show.) We showed up for the "free breakfast" meeting. Five hours later, with the sales representative yelling, we left. I called and complained about the salesman's behavior, and their obvious pressure tactics (getting a "manager" to come and give us a better deal?, we were given tickets to a seafood buffet. I will NEVER go to another time share sales pitch again. This was through Royal Holiday.
I found that it was very easy to get caught up in the PITCH and I know several people who want to regret their timeshare purchase.

I have been a victim of Royal Holiday since 2010 and want to get out of it badly. If I stop paying the maitenance fee, can they put a lean against my house and ruin my credit score? Anyone knows?
hello people, yes i was scammed by this resort, The cost of the maintenance fees is ridiculous, really i cant affort it, actually im on a very bad situation, really i want to cancel , im so worry about my credit score, somebody here can tell me some tips ? i cant find the way to get out of this nightmare !
Thanks for helping spread the news. Although, its ironic that we call this "news", as Timeshare Scams have been around a long, long time. But the more people post the truth, the less people will get scammed.
We have had no end of trouble with Royal Holiday Club. We have tried to get our concerns and complaints addressed with this company from the very beginning, but have never received any answer or any customer service whatsoever. They have repeatedly refused to address our dispute or acknowledge any of our requests for answers in any form, no matter our requests, written or otherwise.
DO NOT JOIN ROYAL HOLIDAY. We joined in January 2011 and have a horrid experience ever since. They lie and avoid at all costs. We were never told about the maintenance fees, certificate fees, terrible availability. They did tell us there would be a representative waiting at the airport each visit and there wasn't, you are on your own. High pressure sales people don't allow you to leave the room to check websites for verification of club or you forfeit the deal. (this alone should have been a red flag) They didn't have all the documents for us at the time of the deal saying that they weren't ready for the new year. They would mail them to us. It took 3 months. The contact people are either rude or evasive until you make a stink then someone contacts you or at least says they did. Didn't in our case after the initial contact. The price for flights is ridiculous and not what they assured us. Most certificates are out of the US and not Canada. The cost of a vacation thru Royal Holiday would cost more than just booking it yourself at the beginning. Most we have looked at cost at least $1000.00 more when you factor in the all inclusive and airfare. JUST DON'T GET HOOKED BY THE WONDEROUS SPIEL ABOUT ROYAL HOLIDAY ITS ALL FALSE.
