Real Club (also known as The Real Club Playa Resorts) is a timeshare membership program operated by Real Resorts, a Mexican hotel chain with properties primarily located in Cancún and Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Common Complaints
Real Club timeshare owners and guests have reported a pattern of deceptive sales practices and unfulfilled promises:
1. Unfulfilled Buyback Contracts – Owners report signing buyback contracts (e.g., to sell back interest after 10 years) only to have the company refuse to honor the agreement. One complainant reported being denied a $10,000 buyback.
2. RCI Affiliation Issues – Owners were told they could exchange weeks through RCI, but later discovered that The Royal is no longer affiliated with RCI (having been rebranded to Hilton/Hyatt). When contacting Real Club, they were told they could only use weeks at designated resorts and would have to pay $300 for an "extensive list" of locations.
3. No Price Advantage for Members – Members have found no difference in price whether using their weeks or booking directly. Some resorts require three weeks to use, with prices still exceeding $4,000.
My husband and I just purchased a Real Club timeshare. Our salesman, said only to deal with him. We have had questions and inquired about reservations. We are not clear on how to proceed with reservations or using our weeks at other resorts. We haven't had answers to our questions. When I called the reservations number in our printed materials, the prices quoted us were nothing like we were promised in the presentation.
I was promised that they would purchase my old timeshare for $30,000 US but nothing happend. They completely misrepresented the benefits. I want to cancel my contract and I have problems contacting them.
Tengo un comártido con Real club- , pero al contactarme con todos los correos que me dieron, no he podido contactarlos- el objeto de contactarnlos es pedirles informacion sobre mi membresia- que tipo es , oro,platino o cual y que tipo de restricciones tiene, les pido de favor que se pongan en contacto conmigo para disipar mis dudas.
the sales person told us the all inclusive fee was per night but instead it was per person we had no choice but to pay triple!!!!
in my opinion timeshares are inherently a scam, in special with Real Club, they're the worst.
Cuidado con el Real Club, que es una mentira, todo lo que dicen en las ventas. Después, si se intenta cancelar te darán todas las excusas posibles y hará pagar incluso más justo para cancelar ... nunca va a salir de ella. Asimismo, no se van a sus hoteles, no vale la pena.
real club si funciona, simpoemente es totno pensar que ellos rentaraian su semana. 8 años de socio, y sigo feliz, compren las cosas para lo que estan diseñadas, no sean avaros.

YO acabo de adquiriri uno de estos tiempos compartidos pero la verdad haciendo cuentas sale muy caro es mas economico realizar el viaje aparte sin tener que pagar una cantidad enorme !!! y tener que reservar con 6 meses de anticipacion, ya me hicieron cargo a mi tarjeta por 33 mil pesos mexicanos!! por favor ayudenme a cancelar esta membresia y me regresen mi dinero tengo apenas 4 dias que me hicieron el contrato hoy 20 de febrero del 2013 es el 4to dia habil !! ayuda !! soy de Puebla-Mexico
