Common Complaints
Real Club timeshare owners and guests have reported a pattern of deceptive sales practices and unfulfilled promises:
1. Unfulfilled Buyback Contracts – Owners report signing buyback contracts (e.g., to sell back interest after 10 years) only to have the company refuse to honor the agreement. One complainant reported being denied a $10,000 buyback.
2. RCI Affiliation Issues – Owners were told they could exchange weeks through RCI, but later discovered that The Royal is no longer affiliated with RCI (having been rebranded to Hilton/Hyatt). When contacting Real Club, they were told they could only use weeks at designated resorts and would have to pay $300 for an "extensive list" of locations.
3. No Price Advantage for Members – Members have found no difference in price whether using their weeks or booking directly. Some resorts require three weeks to use, with prices still exceeding $4,000.
I realize I have been scammed. I purchased a real club temporary membership in hopes that I could resell it, but the resale never worked out due to events, hampering deals.Can I get my money back?
I bought Timehare last year from Real Club in Cancun Mexico. I cancel my contract in 5 days. But I never get refund. Then i filed my case to PROFECO and in first hearing the resort rep told that the contract which i showed for cancelation was false. I need help to get my money back.
Pagamos mas de $3,000 dolares y aun debemos mas de $7,000 hemos pagado solo 4 mensualidades, pero la situación se a tornado muy dificil y no vamos a poder seguir pagando. Ya hable para intentar cancelar la membresia, pero no les importa y dice que tengo que pagar si no nos van a enviar al buro, nunca antes habia tenido porblemas de este tipo y no quiero afectar mi credito.
we purchased a timeshare at Real club under fraudulent pretenses in March 2007.We had an unknown credit card opened for us through Bank of America and are still making interest only monthly payments of over $425, and it is causing a great financial hardship. We contacted a company in Mexico a few years ago, and they wanted half the money they recovered, so we still would have had to pay for half the timeshare, but own nothing.
We recently purchased a timeshare at Real Club They took a older condo on trade.Yesterday I got an email stating they were dropping us out as we did not finish the documentation in the required time We are getting very scared.Our final payment is due end of June.Can we get out of this contract?
intente cancelar mi contrato de tiempo compartido con Real Club porque no podia rentar mis semanas y no podia seguir manteniendolo. Me comunique con el encargado y despues de explicarle mi situación parecio no importarle y me siguen obligando a pagar, me han amenazado con diferentes cosas y los he ignorado, pero me gustaría poder arreglar esto para que no me cause ningun tipo de problema

Yo acabo de comprarles tambien a real cancun resorts y es correcto en contrato ponen cosas diferentes y uno no lo checa bien al firmar, pero independientemente de eso, la empresa respeta las semanas cuando reservas, solo te cobran el all inclusive o hay otroas cargos, alguien comenta que hay cuotas de mantenimiento cuando eso no debe de existir, alguien ha podido reservar y viajar a sus hoteles sin problema, no me interesa rentar, solo ir, y quiza intercambiar con RCI, hay problemas con eso???? saludos y gracias
Many deceptive statements in sales pitch. tried to cancel on the 5th day, but could not find any address, phone number, contact info, etc. Tried to cancel when we returned from Mexico on day 6, could not immediately find information. We want out, but we don´t not how
Hola tengo un apregunta, yo compre con real club y he pagado mas de 60 mil peros ya me es practicamente imposible seguir pagando pero aún debo mas de 80 mil pesos, ya intente de mil maneras cancelar la membresia y nohe podido ademas todo lo que me prometieron es una mentira, me gustaria recibir una recomendacion, que debo de hacer... seguir pagando y quedarme con mis semanas, que realmente no son lo que yo quiero, o simplemente dejar de pagar y perder los 60 mil que he invertido,o si ustedes saben la manera de recuperar mi dinero y cancelar mi contrato estaría increible, quedo en espera de alguna respuesta y gracias por delante.
