- One of the most common scams at the moment of purchase is that Viva Wyndham Maya´s sales person will make you any verbal promise to get you to sign their contract
- Most of their sales are done under high pressure sales tactics, a high number of members at Viva Wyndham feel like they have being lied and scam and most timeshare contracts are being misrepresented.

At Viva Wyndham Bahía, the “ocean view” room we paid extra for looked straight at a construction site. The buffet food was lukewarm most of the time, and the drinks were watered down. It honestly felt like cutting corners everywhere possible.
At Viva Wyndham Dominicus, the check-in was painfully slow and the front desk seemed disorganized. Once inside, the room was small, and the bathroom had visible mildew. I wouldn’t call this “all-inclusive” since we had to argue just to get bottled water delivered.
The resort looks nice in photos, but in reality the food was bland, the drinks were watered down, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping with anything beyond the bare minimum.
I booked Viva Wyndham thinking it would be a family-friendly and stress-free vacation, but I came back feeling more tired than when I left. The check-in process alone took almost an hour, with hardly any staff around to answer questions or give updates. By the time we finally got our room, our kids were restless, and we just wanted to settle in, but the room wasn’t fully cleaned. There were towels from the previous guests left in the bathroom, and the floor was sticky.
The food situation didn’t make things better. The buffet had the same dishes on repeat, and by the third day, none of us wanted to eat there anymore. We tried the specialty restaurants, but the reservations were always “full,” and staff seemed annoyed whenever we asked for help. To top it off, the pool was overcrowded every single day, making it impossible to relax. Honestly, this was not worth the money, and I’d warn others to manage expectations before booking here.
I regret booking with Viva Wyndham. The photos online made it seem like a dream, but the reality was very different. The room felt worn out and outdated, with furniture that had seen better days. The air conditioning barely worked, making it hard to sleep at night. The food at the buffet was repetitive, with the same options showing up day after day, and much of it wasn’t even warm by the time you got to it.
Another frustration was the staff pushing timeshares constantly. Every time we tried to relax by the pool or in the lobby, someone would approach us with a sales pitch. It felt invasive and made it difficult to enjoy our vacation. I came here to relax, not to deal with constant sales pressure.
