Common Complaints:
- Poor Customer Services
- No availability
- Rude sales associates.
- One of the most common scams at the moment of purchase is that Viva Wyndham Maya´s sales person will make you any verbal promise to get you to sign their contract
- Most of their sales are done under high pressure sales tactics, a high number of members at Viva Wyndham feel like they have being lied and scam and most timeshare contracts are being misrepresented.
- Salespeople claim that the points have more value than they actually do for exchange purposes. This is very untrue, it all depend what points you buy and unfortunate they will always sell you the small point package so at the time you realize you need more points.
- Many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable.

I regret booking with Viva Wyndham. The photos online made it seem like a dream, but the reality was very different. The room felt worn out and outdated, with furniture that had seen better days. The air conditioning barely worked, making it hard to sleep at night. The food at the buffet was repetitive, with the same options showing up day after day, and much of it wasn’t even warm by the time you got to it.
Another frustration was the staff pushing timeshares constantly. Every time we tried to relax by the pool or in the lobby, someone would approach us with a sales pitch. It felt invasive and made it difficult to enjoy our vacation. I came here to relax, not to deal with constant sales pressure.

I expected better from Viva Wyndham. The check-in process was confusing and slow, and the front desk staff seemed more interested in rushing people through than actually helping. Once in the room, we noticed the air conditioner wasn’t working properly, and it took two calls and half a day before maintenance finally came. The food at the buffet was repetitive, and although the location is nice, the overall experience felt more like cutting corners than providing real value.
What was most frustrating was the pressure from the sales team. On our second day, we were approached about their vacation program, and despite saying no multiple times, the representative kept pushing us. It really soured the stay, because instead of being able to relax, we felt like we were being pitched to constantly. For the price, I would have expected something much smoother and more guest-focused.
Sinceramente, no creo regresar.
I stayed at Viva Wyndham recently, and while the beach was nice, the rest of the experience was frustrating. The rooms felt dated and the air conditioning barely worked, which made sleeping very uncomfortable in the humid weather. On top of that, the food selection was repetitive, and the buffets didn’t really change much from day to day. It was disappointing for the price we paid.
What bothered me the most was how crowded everything felt. Getting a chair at the pool was almost impossible unless you woke up at 6 a.m., and even then people left their towels to “reserve” spots. Staff seemed overwhelmed and short-staffed, which meant long waits at the bar and slow service in the restaurants. Overall, not what I expected when booking a supposedly relaxing all-inclusive vacation.
I stayed at Viva Wyndham with my family expecting a simple all-inclusive vacation, but the experience was far from relaxing. The check-in was disorganized, with staff constantly pushing us toward their “member services” desk instead of giving us proper information about the resort. We quickly realized that this was just a way to lure people into timeshare presentations. They told us we would get “special perks” if we attended, but after saying no several times, they kept calling our room daily, which became very stressful.
The food at the buffet was also repetitive, and most dishes seemed recycled from the previous meal. Drinks were watered down, and service at the bars depended on who you were, if you had the special wristband from the timeshare, you were served first. It’s disappointing that loyalty and service depend on whether you buy into their program rather than simply being a paying guest.
