About Occidental Allegro
Occidental Allegro is a timeshare and all-inclusive resort brand that was originally part of Occidental Hotels & Resorts. In 2015, Barceló Hotel Group acquired Occidental Hotels & Resorts. Since then, many former Occidental and Allegro properties have been or are being rebranded under the Barceló name.
The timeshare club itself was originally known as Allegro Vacation Club, founded in 1993, and was later renamed Occidental Vacation Club. Today, Occidental Vacation Club operates as part of Barceló Hotel Group, offering memberships across the Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Europe.
Important: Because of the acquisition and ongoing rebranding, some properties may still be known as "Occidental Allegro" while others have already been renamed to "Barceló." Always verify the current name and ownership before booking or purchasing.

Reservé en Occidental Allegro pensando que sería algo de calidad, pero resultó todo lo contrario. Nos citaron para una supuesta cortesía y acabamos atrapados en una presentación larguísima sobre membresías. Ni siquiera pudimos disfrutar el día.
Allegro Cozumel was a total bait-and-switch. Old rooms, loud AC that never cooled anything, and you're invited to a “tour” that turns into a 3-hour timeshare ambush. Save your sanity and skip this place.
Allegro Cozumel is NOT worth it. They promise “family-friendly experience” but it’s really an outdated hotel with rude staff and pushy timeshare salespeople. The beach chairs were broken, and the buffet was 80% cold hot dogs. Total regret.
Hotel viejo, pasaban a limpiar cada 3 días si tenías suerte. El vendedor de tiempo compartido NO me soltaba hasta que casi firmé. Jamás regreso!
Booked Occidental Allegro in Cozumel expecting chill vibes, got pushy sales reps instead. They corner you at breakfast to pitch the timeshare “deal of a lifetime.” Room service was S-L-O-W and the AC barely worked. Not worth the hype or the $$$.
Occidental Allegro promised an “all-inclusive” experience in Puerto Vallarta, but what I got was lukewarm smiles and another round of extra charges. The dining area was clunky and crowded, and the “ocean view” room turned out to be a tight space with hardly any natural light. I’ll pass on this one if I see it again!

Quiero rescindir el contrato con Occidental Vacation club, yo firme un contrato y he pagado hasta el momento cerca de 16,000 dólares y no he disfrutado de nada, encima me han mandado a pagar a Monterey fináncial ya que debo 7 cuotas que suman 5,200 dólares. Puedo salir del contrato?
