Royal Holiday does not have the best reputation among timeshare resorts. Most of their sales are conducted using high-pressure tactics, and a significant number of members feel they have been lied to or scammed. Many timeshare contracts are also misrepresented during the sales process.
One of the most common scams occurs at the time of purchase: a Royal Holiday salesperson will make verbal promises to get you to sign the contract. However, the contract clearly states that any verbal promises made by the sales associate are invalid unless they are explicitly included in the written agreement.
Royal Holiday promises excellent customer service to its members, but this only seems to apply when members call to make a payment. If you have questions or concerns about your membership, the associate will likely say they will send you the information via email—but that email never arrives. The most common response to any unhappy member is to suggest an upgrade, regardless of the issue. As a result, members often end up paying even more for a membership they were never satisfied with in the first place.
Booking with Royal Holiday presents another challenge. During the sales pitch, they promise you can travel anywhere, at any time. This is far from the truth. Your travel options depend entirely on the points you purchase, and unfortunately, they almost always sell you a small points package. By the time you realize you need more points, you're forced to upgrade and pay additional fees.
Most Royal Holiday sales are conducted outdoors or at locations other than their official sales offices. As a "courtesy," they allow you to purchase and sign the contract on the spot, with the salesperson briefly explaining the terms—often omitting important details. Some associates even send the documents to your home while you're still on vacation. By the time you return home and carefully read the contract, you realize it’s not what you thought it was—and worse, your recession period has already expired.
Royal Holiday sales associates may also tell you that you're making a great investment in real estate. This is another major lie. A timeshare is neither an investment nor real estate. You are simply leasing a hotel room for a set period once a year; you do not own the property. It is not an investment because there is no resale market or rental opportunity, meaning there is no potential for profit.

Is a Royal Holiday membership worth it?

Just please dont get caught, dont accept their timeshare presentations with they offers you free stuff, dont waste 4 hours of your time and a debt of a lot of money.
Nosotros usamos los puntos que tenemos para 6 personas y los hoteles siempre fueron malos. Te muestran los de Cancún y te dicen que son de la misma categoría y siempre son hoteles mal ubicados y con 1 solo baño para 6 personas, camas que son camastros y lejos de los centros de interés. Terminamos yendo 4 días y pagando una fortuna anual. Verdadera estafa. Queremos regalarlo porque nos quedan 10 años y no sabemos cómo hacerlo.
Son unos estafadores. Cada vez que use el servicio tuve malas experiencias. Lo peor fue este año que saqué un hotel en Orlando y como dieron de baja el convenio me cambiaron de hotel sin avisarme, íbamos 8 personas de diferentes lugares a encontrarnos en ese hotel y a medida que fuimos llegando nos entrenamos que no teníamos hotel !! En compensación me dieron 1 semana en Cancún , que cuando lo quise usar me dieron que NO ! Les estoy pidiendo dar de baja la membresia hace semanas y no me contestan ESTAFADORES !!

quiero cancelar mi membrecía de royal, es totalmente un fraude descarado
no tiene caso comprar membresia con esta empresa, no cumplen lo que prometen durante la presentacion, llevamos ya 3 años y no hemos logrado agendar porque nunca hay disponibilidad, un fraude.
nosotros fuimos en 2007 a cancun y la agencia nos invito para un desayuno en otro hotel y de regalo nos daran 50 dolares. fuimos y despues del desayuno nos metieron a una mesa para explicarnos lo que contiene el maletin.. bonos de hoteles etc etc en en mundo entero. despues de decidir nos preguntamos de pagar el maletin que creo que era mas de 1000 euros (pagamos con el visa) nos fuimos al hotel con el maletin y yo me senti muy mal y enganada. el dia siguiente fuimos otra vez pa alla para cancelar todo. no quierian y tenia el telefono grabando toda la concersacion. el hombre se enfado y al final nos cancelaron todo PERO los hijos de p*** (lo siento por la palabra) siguieron quitando cada mes dinero de mi cuenta. fui al banco pa recuperar el dinero y nunca hemos recuperado algo. mande un monton de email y cada vez nos dijo un muchacho que habla frances que nos daran lo que nos han cobrado.. al dia de hoy despues de 12 anos todavia no hemos visto ni 1 duro!! menos mal que hemos podido cancelar lo del principio!!!!! suerte a todos!!! Me uno al igual que muchas personas al fraude que estas personas de royal holiday hacen con los tiempos compartidos! para nada es lo que nos prometieron, ademas super mal trato con las personas del lugar, no queremos ya tener membresia con ellos.
Es un fraude, te engañan diciendo que prácticamente al reservar un crucero recuperas lo invertido. Tenemos 20 medes y nunca lo hemos podido utilizar porque sus opciones salen más caras con ellos, que buscarlos por sosrte. Y no hay disponibilidad cuando uno necesita. Quisimos cancelar desde el primer mes y fue imposible. Es tirar el dinero a la basura.
Alguien ya pudo cancelar su contrato con esta agencia y como lo logro por favor ¿alguien me puede ayudar?
