Royal Holiday does not have the best reputation among timeshare resorts. Most of their sales are conducted using high-pressure tactics, and a significant number of members feel they have been lied to or scammed. Many timeshare contracts are also misrepresented during the sales process.
One of the most common scams occurs at the time of purchase: a Royal Holiday salesperson will make verbal promises to get you to sign the contract. However, the contract clearly states that any verbal promises made by the sales associate are invalid unless they are explicitly included in the written agreement.
Royal Holiday promises excellent customer service to its members, but this only seems to apply when members call to make a payment. Booking with Royal Holiday presents another challenge. During the sales pitch, they promise you can travel anywhere, at any time. This is far from the truth. Your travel options depend entirely on the points you purchase, and unfortunately, they almost always sell you a small points package. By the time you realize you need more points, you're forced to upgrade and pay additional fees.
Most Royal Holiday sales are conducted outdoors or at locations other than their official sales offices. As a "courtesy," they allow you to purchase and sign the contract on the spot, with the salesperson briefly explaining the terms—often omitting important details. Some associates even send the documents to your home while you're still on vacation. By the time you return home and carefully read the contract, you realize it’s not what you thought it was—and worse, your recession period has already expired.
Royal Holiday sales associates may also tell you that you're making a great investment in real estate. This is another major lie. A timeshare is neither an investment nor real estate. You are simply leasing a hotel room for a set period once a year; you do not own the property. It is not an investment because there is no resale market or rental opportunity, meaning there is no potential for profit.

Yo he restructurado la membresia para subir de nivle , pero la vd , no dicen que las cuotas anuales van en aumento ,los lugares que quieres ir a vacacionar nunca estan disponibles y te quieren ofrecer otros destinos que no sonde nuestro agrado o no queremos visitar , segun por el nivel de mi mebresia puedo llamar hasta con 2 semanas de anticipacion y me tienen un lugar y es solo mentiras, he llamadao hasta por 4 -5 meses y nunca hay disponibilidad , te acosan para que vayas a la dichosa platica que te levas como 4 a 5 hr , te llevan alcohol y demas para que en tus ceros sentidos firmes, ya se ha hecho impagable ya que es como un parasito financiero que es insostenible ya para pagar y ya llegue a tope en mi capacidad de pago y no puedo mas ya que estoy sacrificando cosas prioritarias del hogar , espero y me asesoren que se puede hacer para ya cancelarla .
