How do I get out of my timeshare contract?

My husband and I purchased a vacation club membership from Royal Elite Caracol. We felt cheated and deceived since the 5 day recission period was never exolained to us, we were coersed into signing a "waiver of the 5 days", we had no idea what we were signing and were were lied to by making us beleive that we could basically return the membership to occidental if we wanted to sell it. Now we cannot afford to make the payments, and are stuck with this membership I feel we were mislead into purchasing!
