I need to get rid of my timeshare?

I'm trying to get out of my time share that me and my wife bought 2 years ago. I was just wondering if i could "walk away" from it. It has a mortgage. I have contacted the time share company and they won't take it back and all they can say is that it will hurt my credit if i don't pay, but i guess my real question is, if i stop paying for the time share can they take me to court or take my house, garnish my wages to get the money i owe them, thanks

A lot of people want to be out of these obligations so all timeshares give some days after the purchase to regret it but, if those days expire then the only way to get rid of the contract will be to place a formal legal process, if you decide just not to continue paying, then they will report you at collections and they can persecute for the payment of the full amount and not only the months skipped
