Common Complaints:
Salesperson offers a guaranteed buyout of a previously owned timeshare through one of their resale companies. Their resale companies have in house representatives and make the impression that they are one company. Luxury Vallarta Rentals was the former company, but that company has gone out of business, so they are now referring clients to High End Rentals. The difference between Grand Miramar and other resorts is that the broker fee seems to be paid through Grand Miramar directly, and is often a much higher amount (ie. $3000 - $5000)
The salesperson offers in house financing at a low introductory rate. When the client returns home they realize that the financing is actually a Bank of America visa card, which has been charged for the full amount of the timeshare. This is Grand Miramar’s method of ensuring that they get paid in full for the timeshare. Bank of America is typically unresponsive to disputes as a valid contract has been signed.
Some clients think that they are purchasing a Grand Miramar contract, when in fact they are purchasing a Platinum Access Marketing contract which does not seem to have the same rights for owner's as a regular timeshare contract.

If anyone goes to this resort pls dont accept any invitation to a timeshare presentation , or free breakfasts, or free rides or whatever "free" stuff, those guys the only thing that they really want is to hook you up to a timeshare presentation , and after that sell you a timeshare , i had a very bad experience with those people, so pls avoid this is SCAM, is a shame that we as a tourist we run with the risk and have to manage this kind of situations, stay away from here
son los maestros de la mentira, me presionaron muchisimo para aceptar comprar el bendito tiempo compartido, nada de lo que prometen es real, debi haberlo sabido, lo unico que les interesa es robar tu dinero, como la mayoria de los resorts, tengan mucho cuidado con los tiempo compartidos en definitiva
We were harassed and threatened with the police if we tried to cancel. The woman who is now sales manager, Corinna Cohen, repeatedly said she was an attorney and could handle a suit against us for slander. They constantly yelled at us and kept bringing up the police. We were guests at the Grand Miramar, having booked through Travelocity, and had fallen in love with the hotel and were prepared to only come to this wonderful hotel and not do any trading of any kind. Edgar Moreno treated us with extreme kindness and we thought, wrongly, that merely expecting to use the Grand Miramar at a much reduced cost was worth the effort even when we knew that some of their hype was ridiculous. We were such fools. The hotel management never offered to intervene even when this harassment went on in front of them. In private they said they would have to talk to their management to see what could be done and they were only sorry that we were unhappy. In the end we were able to cancel the contract, that we never were given a copy of and we are happy that we realized what was going on before leaving Mexico and before the 5 days were over when we could legally cancel. The "attorney's" name is supposedly Corinna Cohen, although we can find no record anywhere of such a person.
Mi amiga me recomendo este resort y me hablo muy bien del tiempo compartido, asi que fui a una presentacion para que ellos mismos me explicaran mas a detalle porque estaba interesada en adquirir. Cuando comenzo la presentacion, senti muchisima presion por parte del vendedor y no me dio nada de confianza, al cabo de 1 hora, estaba tan harta que decidi firmar, total mi amiga me habia recomendado. Lo que yo no sabia era que nunca iria a ser posible hacer uso de mi semana!!! Estoy muy muy molesta y me urge que cancelarlo

They tried to gain your trust by saying a lot of lieees, don't believe them a single word
had to take a motel or lose my money stay away from these people they are lying about their offers.
When I contacted them, they were rude, could not answer any of my questions and told me they do not need to contact the seller and all they need to do is list the timeshare.
en mi experiencia personal puedo decir que es el peor resort en el que me he quedado, ademas de que el servicio es pesimo las instalaciones llegan a ser peor
Jamas volveria a este hotel, son de los peor, muchisimo cuidado con ellos, no acepten siquiera ir a sus dichosas presentaciones, no saldran vivos de ahi
