- One of the most common scams at the moment of purchase is that Viva Wyndham Maya´s sales person will make you any verbal promise to get you to sign their contract
- Most of their sales are done under high pressure sales tactics, a high number of members at Viva Wyndham feel like they have being lied and scam and most timeshare contracts are being misrepresented.
- Salespeople claim that the points have more value than they actually do for exchange purposes. This is very untrue, it all depend what points you buy and unfortunate they will always sell you the small point package so at the time you realize you need more points.

Sinceramente, no creo regresar.
I stayed at Viva Wyndham recently, and while the beach was nice, the rest of the experience was frustrating. The rooms felt dated and the air conditioning barely worked, which made sleeping very uncomfortable in the humid weather. On top of that, the food selection was repetitive, and the buffets didn’t really change much from day to day. It was disappointing for the price we paid.
What bothered me the most was how crowded everything felt. Getting a chair at the pool was almost impossible unless you woke up at 6 a.m., and even then people left their towels to “reserve” spots. Staff seemed overwhelmed and short-staffed, which meant long waits at the bar and slow service in the restaurants. Overall, not what I expected when booking a supposedly relaxing all-inclusive vacation.
I stayed at Viva Wyndham with my family expecting a simple all-inclusive vacation, but the experience was far from relaxing. The check-in was disorganized, with staff constantly pushing us toward their “member services” desk instead of giving us proper information about the resort. We quickly realized that this was just a way to lure people into timeshare presentations. They told us we would get “special perks” if we attended, but after saying no several times, they kept calling our room daily, which became very stressful.
The food at the buffet was also repetitive, and most dishes seemed recycled from the previous meal. Drinks were watered down, and service at the bars depended on who you were, if you had the special wristband from the timeshare, you were served first. It’s disappointing that loyalty and service depend on whether you buy into their program rather than simply being a paying guest.

I stayed at Viva Wyndham V Samaná with my wife and honestly, it was a letdown. The resort looks fine from the outside, but once you settle in, the cracks show. The food was the same every day, mostly buffet-style, and after the second night it all felt repetitive. Nothing stood out as fresh or flavorful. Drinks from the bar were another disappointment—half the time they tasted watered down, as if they were stretching bottles too far.
The staff seemed overwhelmed and not particularly friendly unless they were trying to sell you an excursion. The beach itself was nice, but the experience didn’t match the price we paid. I don’t think I’d come back here again.

Stayed at Viva Wyndham V Samaná and left disappointed. The food was repetitive, and most of it tasted bland. The drinks were watered down too.
