Common Complaints:
- Poor Customer Services
- No availability
- Rude sales associates.
- One of the most common scams at the moment of purchase is that Viva Wyndham Maya´s sales person will make you any verbal promise to get you to sign their contract
- Most of their sales are done under high pressure sales tactics, a high number of members at Viva Wyndham feel like they have being lied and scam and most timeshare contracts are being misrepresented.
- Salespeople claim that the points have more value than they actually do for exchange purposes. This is very untrue, it all depend what points you buy and unfortunate they will always sell you the small point package so at the time you realize you need more points.
- Many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable.

Y’all, our “ocean view” in Viva Wyndham was a sliver of blue if you leaned WAY over the balcony. The staff acted like every request, towels, ice, directions, was a personal insult. Felt like a budget cruise ship on land. Never again.
Nunca más. Viva Wyndham Maya fue una decepción de principio a fin. El buffet repetitivo, la atención pésima, y los vendedores de membresías persiguiéndonos.
If you’re looking for loud music, cold food, and people pretending to help you while doing NOTHING... VIVA WYNDHAM DOMINICUS is your place!! We were offered a “fun resort vibe,” but ended up with broken beach chairs, watered-down drinks, and a "VIP" check-in that took over 90 minutes. My husband wanted to leave on day two. STAY AWAY.
I should’ve known better than to fall for a “last minute deal”, VIVA WYNDHAM TANGERINE in Cabarete was CHAOS. We got tricked into attending a “welcome breakfast” that was actually a high-pressure ambush for their travel club. My husband literally fake-choked to get us out!! Still mad about it.
Un verdadero desastre! Me hospedé en Viva Wyndham Maya (Playa del Carmen) y desde que llegamos fue puro problema. Te presionan para que escuches una "presentación especial" que terminó siendo una trampa de tiempos compartidos. Me sentí manipulado y molesto.
Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach bombarded me with some “club membership” nonsense 10 minutes after check-in. I said NO and they kept pushing. The food was cold, the staff looked like they were trying their best but totally overwhelmed, and the room smelled like a wet mop. This is NOT what I paid for.
I thought Viva Wyndham in Puerto Vallarta would be delightful but instead I encountered slow check‑ins, mysterious fees creeping up and a staff that seemed disengaged (like they were all on lunch break forever). Hated it.
Ok so my experience with Viva Wyndham was like this. As always, when it comes to this whole timeshare business you're usually offered some free breakfast of sorts, right? I did just that, and of course it became a very insistent push to get into their timeshare contract. Of course I said no, but my god they almost didn't even give me the breakfast. Once the timeshare presentation was over, which was maybe around 2h hours? (Not as bad as some other people though. But they did tell me it was gonna be 30 minutes, obviously) I did get my breakfast at the very least….but I don't know why did I even bother, when it was tasteless and bland. I guess that's why they made it "free" in the first place.
Honestly, it wasn't just the breakfast, but most of the food at Wyndham's own restaurants wasn't that good, way too overpriced. They barely even let you have your own food, so you're forced to eat there. But even when the free food sucks, what's even the point?
This was only as just an hotel stay, I can't imagine what those that sign to Wyndham's timeshare program must experience. Don't bother, really.
