Common Complaints:

Vidanta Timeshare for sale:The salesperson will claim that they can resell the client's previously owned timeshare for a large sum of money and the purchase of the Vidanta timeshare will be covered by this resale.
Salesperson offers an equity exchange or trade-in program.

Vidanta Timeshare Rentals: The salesperson says that they will rent out their Vidanta weeks for a large profit and issue a check to the client within a few months so that they can pay off the timeshare with the rental income.
Many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable, and they are then persuaded into a downgraded membership.

Gracias!

Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta = overpriced stress vacation. Couldn’t even get a week booked without months of notice. So much fine print it gave me whiplash. this is NOT worth it.

Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta = great view, TERRIBLE experience. I was lured into a “VIP breakfast” and ended up stuck in a 4-hour sales trap. I signed something I didn’t fully understand (my bad) and later found out how impossible it is to book ANYTHING. Worst travel mistake ever.

Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta fue puro marketing y cero realidad. Cobran mantenimiento extra cada mes y luego no hay habitaciones libres ni regaladas. Atención al cliente inexistente, te ignoran si pides explicaciones.

Vidanta Riviera Maya delivered only hidden fees and sold‑out dates. I was ready to pull my hair out until Mexican Timeshare Solutions helped me untangle their nightmare contract.

Mexican Timeshare Solutions, excelente servicio. Ampliamente recomendable para quienes tienen intención de cancelar y el resort no lo permite, ya que MTS cuenta con personal ampliamente experimentado y comprometido. A nosotros nos ayudaron excelentemente

My husband and I purchased a membership at Vidanta a few years ago, and upgraded three times to the Luxxe Loft and then the Kingdom of the Sun. They said the park would be completed by the next year, Unfortunately Covid happened and that didn't happen. We wanted our money back but that didn't happen. We also got talked into purchasing Vida Vacations. Not a good buy. Only used it twice. We still have that membership even though we canceled with Vidanta. Since we had not used it they gave us 160,000 points to use, so we booked Larkspur Landing all suites Hotel. We used those points for a one-bedroom unit.
There were issues with the unit. A broken glass picture on the wall behind the very soft worn-out couch, a TV that wouldn't stay on more than 30 minutes and would come back on after 10 minutes. The ice maker didn't work. It had no tube sending water to it. In the bathroom the shower faucet was very loose. The towel hook on the wall was falling off.
They couldn't fix the TV. The whole resort was having the same issue. They couldn't fix the faucet couldn't be fixed but the hook was tightened. For 160,000 we thought that it wasn't worth it. We would never go back to a 3.5 star hotel that normally rented for two people for $225 a night. Our cost with the points was $58 for tax. They did have a continental breakfast available for all guests.
To cancel our contact it cost $6389 plus the fee paid for "Tradebloc" Their fee was $5,900.
It took a year to accomplish. And since it didn't wrap up by August, we had to pay all the maintenance dues for the next year on all but Vidanta, unless their high price included several weeks rent. We are free of them now at least and will do road trips instead.

I've had my Vidanta timeshare for a while now, but due to some personal reasons, I no longer want to keep it. I'm considering putting my Vidanta timeshare for sale, but I'm worried about the possibility of being scammed. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to safely sell my timeshare and avoid fraudsters?
