Common Complaints:

Vidanta Timeshare for sale:The salesperson will claim that they can resell the client's previously owned timeshare for a large sum of money and the purchase of the Vidanta timeshare will be covered by this resale.
Salesperson offers an equity exchange or trade-in program.

Vidanta Timeshare Rentals: The salesperson says that they will rent out their Vidanta weeks for a large profit and issue a check to the client within a few months so that they can pay off the timeshare with the rental income.
Many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable, and they are then persuaded into a downgraded membership.

I have been complaining to cancel my Vidanta timeshare, does somebody know what happens if I stop paying my timeshare in Mexico?

  • Ann-Marie HuangNovember 25, 2020, 3:49 pm

I paid $17,000 up front to be a ‘member’, but when I tried to make a reservation I noticed that member’s fee was higher than non-members fee. How’s that possible? It was supposed that one of the benefits to be a member was to have lower fees, better access and treatment than others, but it isn´t the case. All this resort wants is to know clients who gain more money so that they can steal from them. I made a complain to the resort for this reason, and what they told me was that if a wanted a better treatment I had to pay $4000 more so that I could upgrade my membership and get more benefits. Why do I have to pay more money to get a better treatment and to book a room when non-members don’t need to pay more than the booking fee for their room? DO NOT PAY A TIMESHARE MEMBERSHIP, it is a total SCAM.

I stayed at Sea Garden Resort in Acapulco in my last trip to Mexico and I totally regreat it. I booked my vacations in that hotel hopping to get a wonderful treatment and all I got was the opposite. I accepted to have breakfast with one salesman of the hotel expecting to do a great investment with him, but all he told me were lies, nothing he said was in the contract and when I noticed that I was scamed I tried to cancel my timeshare contract with the hotel but it was impossible, they told me the were going to call me when they had news about my cancellation process but what they did was that they delayed the process so that I couldn't cancel the contract with them. DO NOT TRUST ANY VIDANTA RESORT.

I bought a timeshare many months ago and I’ve been aware that it is a scam since a month after I bought it, I have been trying to cancel it since then, but it’s been imposible to do that with the resort, and as I had never felt this rush to finally get out from it as feel now with this COVID-19 crisis, I contacted Mexican Timeshare Solutions to help me to cancel it. My experience with them has been so good so far, a great thing from them is that they don´t charge you any cent until the contract is totally cancel and the resort confirms you so. They solved all my doubts, they’re very kind and they worry about their customers economy.
