In this section you will find valuable information about Pueblo Bonito Fractional ownership business. If you´re thinking or you already closed a deal on buying a timeshare in Pueblo Bonito resorts, since there is some content on importat review sites that consist of people giving their opinion about their timeshare buying experience with several resorts, including Pueblo Bonito membership reviews in the same sites.

Pueblo Bonito is known for being part of large resort chain with great status and prestige, wich owns other many resorts  dedicated to commit fraud on selling luxurious timeshare units. And same as the other resorts, it is certainly luxurious and stands for its large and beautiful buldings, offers outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, entertainment, event services and restaurants of an excellent level located all over Mexico´s most beautiful coasts.

But speaking of Pueblo Bonito fractional ownership (Pueblo Bonito Travel Club)selling it isn´t  as good as they claim to treat their guests, as we can see in the Pueblo Bonito timeshare reviews and common complaints recently made.

Common complaints:

  • Salesperson has the client sign a waiver giving up their 5 day right to cancel as it is a special one-day only offer. This is illegal in Mexico.
  • Salesperson promise to sell their old timeshare to offset the cost  of the new timeshare in the end the client is referred  to resale company that does not sell the old timeshare and the client is stuck with two timshare and the maintenance fees for both properties.
  • Complaints about Concord Pueblo Bonito & Pueblo Bonito Travel Club.

Pueblo Bonito timeshare reviews

This chain of resorts with a lot more premises around Mexico such a Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay and Pueblo Bonito Pacifica has been target of many reviews by people pointing out bad experiences buying a timeshare.

Also, on the complaint board blog you can find content about Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach timeshare in problems involving the resort.

Pueblo Bonito reviews

The list is long, an involves the rest of Pueblo Bonito resorts listed at the beggining of this section and besides timeshare reviews clients even mention problems with Pueblo Bonito membership reviews, since the scammers and sales people tend to offer a membership update that in no way will benefit the clients

How they operate

The Pueblo Bonito ownership fraud usually starts with a convincing and charming sales person. Many people clainm that the seller invites couples in particular to a meeting, so they get the timeshare concept explanation about owning and sharing a private residence with other people every timeshare they travel and stay in a Pueblo Bonito resort.

The couples have a tour in the different unit areas that are said to be available for them to pick. In the end, buyers have claimed they received quite a different unit. They also tend to persuade customers to increase the membership level of the resort , wich has been target of critics in many Pueblo Bonito membership reviews. In case of non-registered customers, the seller will convince them to at least become a member.

They will ask if they own another timeshare that they no longer use and tell them that Pueblo Bonito will sell it to lower the price of the current timeshare that the customer buy, but in reality they are leaving everyone on a big debt after signing the contract.

If you are the victim of a timeshare scam, you can agree one of the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach timeshare problems about the pressure they put on you.

The worst part of the customers is that the seller will never teel you about the five days recession period in wich you can terminate the contract of timeshare. Not to mention that they also lie and say that it will be impossible to cancel the ccontract after signing it. This is a typical leading indicator of a timeshare scam. This las one tends to be a big complaint in the Pueblo Bonito timeshare reviews posted on Trip Advisor.

In conclusion

Like we said before, it is very well represented on the Pueblo Bonito Travel Club reviews posted online and on the common complaints listed above, that the scammer plague it´s getting bigger and bigger.

For the most part this happens in Mexico, such a beautiful and exotic country and it works because the sales people take advantage of the limited law knowledge  of foreigners and tourist while on vacation in different country. Like the case of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach timeshare and problems that arise, not only about timeshare, but poor management and unpleasant from the staff , arter tourist reject timeshare meeting invitations.

Now, also reselling timeshare business is finding it´s way to scam and manipulate timeshare owners and convince them they could get a good amount of money for their old unit, setting up a false client with false ID documents that is ready to buy the unit at the moment. They send all tha fake information to the old unit owner, who is just ready to give it away in exchange of some "fees" for cleaning and maintenance, made up by the scammer. Finally the victim realizes he never received any money for this property and he was scammed.

If you are interested in investing in fractional ownership, we suggest you to find legitimate companies and being alert when doing business of this kind. Being alert on red flags could be a major help. Always make sure you look up the background of the seller online. In addition, it´s fair to suspect from sales people asking for an upfront fee, a trustworthy deal is made like a real state business is made.

    Help!
we bought two different time shares every other year from pueblo bonito and have not used them yet. I am worried because they took two of our other time shares in the trade and I have been calling resort connections -the people handling the transfer this past month to see if things have been transferred so I will not have to pay the maintenance fees on the other timeshares next year. I gave them over $1000.00 dollars to complete the transfers and they have not been transferred to date.

Thank you all for posting your comments. My husband and I are in Cabo at this very moment for a week. We toured PBSB Tuesday morning and planned on going back tomorrow to sign the contract and move forward with the deal. Now that I've read all the bad reviews we've decided not to purchase. Thank you all!

We have been owners at Montecristo Estates at Pueblo Bonito Sunset for about 5 years. Last year we upgraded to Novaispana ownership. I am surprised at the comments here. We have had nothing but good experiences with the resort and over at Blanco/Rose. I personally think that Sunset as a whole (including Pacifica, Montecristo, Novaispana, etc) is the finest resort I have ever stayed at. We will be staying at Novaispana for the first time later this month, and couldn't be more excited. Our salesman was Mark Biddle - and he was absolutely straight with us during both transactions. I can't speak for the other salesmen. I would say that if you don't read the contract where it says "anything not in this contract doesn't mean squat", it kind of falls on you. Granted, usually timeshare salesmen rank just above used car and copier salesmen, but I have NOT had that experience with Mark. Bottom line: buy a timeshare where you plan to visit. Any claims that you will be able to make money on it are just false. Maybe you get lucky, but for the most part you'll be fortunate to just cover costs if you rent your week. And having them sell your other time share for you? If you didn't get that on paper... BTW, i think a lot of the underbuilding is due to the economic crisis. The first golf course (a Nicklaus Signature course!) is going in now. Long term, i think i will be very happy with this decision. (in reading back over this, i know i sound like a PB plant that's just trying to make them look good, but I assure you I am not! I am an owner from Los Angeles who also owns at the Marriott Ka'anapali in Maui, and I have no connection to Pueblo Bonito other than as an owner).

I call him Dirk Meyer the Liar. As many have already said, they outright lie. And then when you try to get answers it's like talking with someone who has had a lobotomy. He never answers your questions directly always a shuck and jive. Do not ever buy a timeshare from Pueblo Bonito. I will never go to Montecristo or Sunset Beach again because of Dirk Meyer.

We purchased November 2011. Really detested the sales tactics as well as the lying promises about rental options etc. Buying a timeshare for investment was not our plan so we looked at future usage only. Only thing that it is / can be used for. Pueblo Bonito Black Diamond instead of RCI was another rip-off replacing Premier. Just BEWARE!

  • GabriellaJuly 27, 2013, 8:45 am

I was able to get my 299$ Pueblo Bonito Premier fee reversed after about 4 months of diligence. I had to Arizona and Mazatlan several times. I'm still trying to get my deposit refunded fro the timeshare. The time share salesman just lied too much. If a salesman has to lie about his product, it probably isn't a good value.

My wife and I just purchased our timeshare at Pueblo Bonito on July 17th, 2013. this was our first trip to Mexico. We were pressured to go on the “tour”. We told the saleslady that we don’t plan to comt back to Cabo again. Our saleslady Christina Frie guaranteed we would be able to use rental program to rent out our timeshare and make a profit for $1100 each year and we could use our Bonus Weeks to travel to other parts of the world. We were told that we would receive email the same day regarding the details of the offer. We never received the email. We have been in contact with them regarding this immediately upon our purchase (next day). I tried to call Pueblo Bonitos customer service so many times and I cannot even get hold of our salesman. They lied to us. We emailed the saleslady on 7/21 asking her to cancel our contract but never heard back from her. We left the resort early Monday morning to get back home. Then we got email from Dirk Meyer who is the sales director and husband of Christina. He refused to cancel the contract and threatened us that our credit would be ruined if we cancel our contract. Today we got the email (the 6th business day after we signed the contract) we finally got an email from the sales administration stating that we can cancel the contract but we can’t get the refund of $3500 they charged on our credit card. They are really the worst and please spread the words so other people will not get scammed again. If anybody can give us advice as how could we get our $ back, we would really appreciate.

My wife and I just purchased our timeshare at Pueblo Bonito last October 2012 when went for our anniversary. Our salesman Ian Collins guaranteed we would be able to use rental program to rent out our timeshare and make a profit. Our plan was never to stay but to rent it & use our Bonus Weeks. We have been in contact with them regarding this immediately upon our purchase. I tried to call Pueblo Bonitos customer service so many times and I cannot even get hold of our salesman. They lied , I am very upset and I'd like to do something to get this resolved.

Do not buy a timeshare at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.......They will tell you lies to get you to buy at PBSB. My friend and I bought since we thought this place was amazing. We purchased a timeshare so we can enjoy PBSB and more again and agan. And in the end we got NOTHING!

  • JaniceJuly 8, 2013, 9:34 am

We met with the Pueblo Bonito sales people during our trip in January 2013. We are already timeshare owners with another company and we were not terribly interested in taking on more debt for yet another timeshare. We expressed this feeling early on in the presentation,.
