Common Complaints from Xcaret Members:
- The seller convinces the customer to waive their five-day right to cancel, claiming that the membership they are purchasing is a special one-day-only offer.
- The seller promises to sell the customer’s old timeshare so they can pay for the new one. In the end, the customer is referred to a resale company that doesn’t sell their old timeshare, leaving the customer stuck with two timeshares and the maintenance fees for both properties.
- Difficulties in making a reservation.

Hotel Xcaret is pretty, but getting the “all-fun inclusive” experience they advertise is a struggle. Most of the activities are booked or sold out, the shuttles run late, and staff always seem frazzled. For such a high price, I expected smoother logistics and better guest treatment.
Hotel Xcaret is stunning, but living there for a week felt like being in a business presentation. Every activity needed reservation days in advance, and some promised perks were “unavailable” when we tried to use them. The experience wasn’t seamless — more stressful than serene.
Hotel Xcaret is beautiful at first, but it comes with hidden frustrations. The “all-fun inclusive” tagline was misleading: you had to book activities days in advance, and many were already full. The lines were long, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. For the high price, the experience should’ve been smoother.
Hotel Xcaret is beautiful, yes, but it’s so overcrowded that it loses all charm. The food lines were endless, and every reservation had to be made days in advance. The staff was polite but overwhelmed, and at this price point, that shouldn’t happen. Disappointing for what’s supposed to be a luxury brand.
No volvería.
Hotel Xcaret has beautiful views, but everything else feels chaotic. Getting into the parks was a nightmare of lines and confusion. For what they charge, I expected attentive service and smooth logistics. Instead, it felt like a factory churning tourists through the same experience.
