- The seller convinces the customer to waive their five-day right to cancel, claiming that the membership they are purchasing is a special one-day-only offer.
- The seller promises to sell the customer’s old timeshare so they can pay for the new one. In the end, the customer is referred to a resale company that doesn’t sell their old timeshare, leaving the customer stuck with two timeshares and the maintenance fees for both properties.
- Difficulties in making a reservation.

Firmé con Xcaret en Playa del Carmen pensando que era una membresía VIP... lo que me dieron fueron fechas restringidas, y una línea de atención que JAMÁS responde. Todo era ‘urgente’ el día que firmé, pero ahora que quiero usar lo que pagué... silencio total.
Me vendieron el paraíso en Hotel Xcaret México, y terminé atrapada en un INFIERNO de promesas falsas. “Estadías garantizadas”, decían… pero nunca hay disponibilidad. Y claro, la membresía es carísima, las letras chiquitas no te las explican, y ya ni me contestan los correos.
Xcaret Hotel Arte looked amazing online, but what they don’t show you is the aggressive sales tactics. I just wanted to enjoy the cenotes and nature, but got dragged into a 3‑hour “tour” that was all about buying into their timeshare. Booking anything with the membership is a nightmare!
Xcaret, qué fiasco en Puerto Aventuras. ARRASTRAN a los visitantes de un punto a otro con horarios imposibles, y si no compras el “Xcaret Plus” te dejan en la estacada. ¡Casi me quedo fuera del cenote por falta de cupo! Todo marketing y cero alma.
Went all in on Xcaret in Playa del Carmen, but there were lines for EVERYTHING!! ZERO personal space and every guide tried selling me a “VIP upsell” for double the price. Money, time, and my sanity GONE.
Carisimo. Esta bonito eso si, pero los precios son como si me quisieran robar en plena luz del dia. No vale la pena.
