Royal Elite Vacation Club complaints:
- Salesperson claims that the all-inclusive fee is per couple, but in reality it is per person per night. Clients can often book the vacation cheaper online without using their timeshare, than with booking their timeshare and paying the maintenance fees and all-inclusive fees.
- Claim that they can resell a previously owned timeshare for a profit and use that money to pay for the new membership at Royal Elite Vacation Club.
- Salesperson offers extra weeks to clients for rental purposes. They claim that the rental income makes the timeshare a good financial investment, and they can use the money in the first few years to pay off the membership.
- Salesperson claims that they can trade their weeks to RCI points, and use the points to pay for 100% of an airline ticket, when in reality RCI only allows for clients to use points for 33% of the cost of the ticket.

I was scammed by Palace Elite Moon Palace. The salesman said we could have 21 days free all inclusive for signing a $20,000 agreement.
When I called to validate a week long vacation they said I needed to a pay for it. I feel scammed and taken advantage of. I hope I can see these people.
They deserve to go to prison.

Quiero cancelar mi membrecia con royal elite pues cuando me la ofrecieron dinero que tendría beneficios como 50% de descuento en alimentos y siempre la disponibilidad del hotel pero ahora que intento reservar resulta que sale más caro que si reservo por una agencia de viaje tengo un año apenas de hacerme socio pero pues veo que esto es un fraude.
Since Cancun it´s a really beautiful and tropical paradise, I decided to buy a timeshare at Royal Elite Caracol resort, but honestly I am better off just staying at Holiday Inn Express every year. The unit that was given to me doesn´t look like anything they showed us in the presentation, the furniture is old and really bad quality for the amount we pay every month, don´t be fooled by them.
Me and my sister bought a timeshare in Royal Sandos Cancun and when we decided to cancel they agrred to help us and said the refund will be applied to my credit card after a month. It´s been a month and a half and I cannot get a hold of them by phone or e-mail I feel likee they just stole from me and been ignoring me.
I wish I could sue the sales manager in Royal Elite. They said I could have a one weekend stay in any resort after buying a $200 voucher. When we arrived at the Cancun resort they said the voucher was not valid, and they didn´t know anything about it. I feel robbed and ridiculed.
I am from Canada and I cannot travel any more because I am disabled now. In Royal, they gave me the option to help me resell my timeshare. I tried to explain several times to the timeshare representatives that I cant use it any more because I cannot travel and I’ve been only receiving threats for non payment fees.
En el hotel Sandos Playacar me acosaron y hostigaron hasta que adquirí su tiempo compartido. El contrato se firmó en Agosto 2020. Me dijeron que para Enero 2021 ya iba poder usar la membresía RCI.
Solicité la membresía RCI a principios de Enero y ni siquiera la habían tramitado. Traté de cancelar mi contrato por este incumplimiento y resulta que hay una cláusula que dice que tienen un mes para resolver cualquier incumplimiento, esto jamás se mencionó en la presentación de ventas, de hecho el gerente de ventas fue muy claro cuando dijo que para Enero 2021 iba a tener la membresía RCI, lo cuál no fue cierto, tuve que levantar una queja y la membresía RCI me la dieron en Febrero 2021,después de haber levantado la queja.
También he visto que el costo de la habitación por noche es más barato a traves de otras compañias distintas a Sandos, al sumar lo que uno paga por el todo incluido más el mantenimieto anual es mucho más caro que reservar a traves de otras compañias. El contrato dice que siempre se ofrecerá el precio más bajo del mercado al socio, pero no es cierto, hay precios más bajos a traves de otros proveedores. Todo está lleno de engaños. Espero me puedan ayudar.
We do not recommend this club because they continually move the bar when you are booking. What you signed up for and paid for is NEVER provided when you book. The latest one is even though you bought a 1 bedroom and were a couple and said at the time you would always be travelling as a couple, now they want you to pay for an invisible third person in the room: in order to have the room you bought.....absolutely ridiculous.
Not recommend at all, please dont buy a membership with this people, its only a scam, by the way since 2014 we still fighting against them to get a full cancellation of our membership, we dont want it anymore.
