Royal Elite Vacation Club complaints:

  • Salesperson claims that the all-inclusive fee is per couple, but in reality it is per person per night. Clients can often book the vacation cheaper online without using their timeshare, than with booking their timeshare and paying the maintenance fees and all-inclusive fees.
  • Claim that they can resell a previously owned timeshare for a profit and use that money to pay for the new membership at Royal Elite Vacation Club.
  • Salesperson offers extra weeks to clients for rental purposes. They claim that the rental income makes the timeshare a good financial investment, and they can use the money in the first few years to pay off the membership.
  • Salesperson claims that they can trade their weeks to RCI points, and use the points to pay for 100% of an airline ticket, when in reality RCI only allows for clients to use points for 33% of the cost of the ticket.

    Tried cancelling our timeshare as we were told we did not have to have the all inclusive with drinks and meals. Wrong, when trying for the first time to make reservations I learned we would have to pay between $60 - $85 per day per person for all meals, inclusive. Lost my downpayment and months they deducted from by Bank of America Account. Now I am turned over by their infamous Monterry Collections who are constantly harrassing us via letters, phone calls and sending people to our door. Cannot even contact these people to resolve this. Even tried The US Department of State Consummer Office of Business Affairs, Legal Department. No recourse, so they just take our money and ruin our credit!!!

    En 2012 compre membresia de Royal Elite, solo la he ocupado una vez en USA y una vez mas en Cancún, es posible cancelarla a estas alturas y que me regresen dinero, gracias

    buenas noches les he enviado un mail con un reclamo del priority exchange ya que yo habia confirmado una reserva para fortlauderale en el hotel whyndam sea beach que me ofrecio la srta tania preats para la semana del 5-06-2013 al 12-06-2013,esperando que me envien la solicitud que nunca llego,yo saque los aereos para esa fecha y como no me llegaba la solicitud vuelvo a llamar y me atiende tania blanco la cual me informa que no estaba disponible y que no podia hacer nada porque la srta que me lo ofrecio se encontraba en peru,de todo esto pasaron 15 dias.ahora pregunto alguien me puede dar una solucion o hacerce responsable de lo que me ofrecieron o va a ser lo mismo que el anio pasado no lo pude utilizar ,ya que cuando uno lo necesita no hay disponibilidad y sino fijense bien lo que ofrecen.

    QUERIA HACERLES SABER QUE LA EMPRESA DE INTERCAMBIO NO FUNCIONA NINGUNA,YA QUE ES EL SEGUNDO ANIO QUE ME PASA LO MISMO,EL DIA 07-12-2012 HABIA Y RESERVADO POR EL PRIORITY EXCHANGES ,PARA FORTLAUDERALE,EL HOTEL WYNDHAM QUE DA A LA PLAYA Y LA SRTA TANIA PRATERS ME CONFIRMA QUE HAY LUGAR ,SACO LOS AEREOS PERO NUNCA ME ENVIARON LA SOLICITUD PARA LLENAR,CUANDO LLAMO PARA RECLAMAR ME DICE TANIA BLANCO QUE NO HAY MAS LUGAR Y QUE LA STRA MENCIONADA ANTERIORMENTE ESTABA EN PERU ,QUE NO ME PODIAN DAR NINGUNA SOLUCION.MI PREGUNTA ES LA SIGUIENTE ALGUIEN SE HACE RESPONSABLE DE TANTA INEFICIENCIA?ESPERO ALGUNA RESPUESTA.

    Hola, intenté cancelar mi contrato dentro de los 5 días hábiles que están estipulados allí mismo pero si bien me respondieron al principio ahora no me permiten terminar el proceso y cuando llamo por teléfono me cortan, como puedo proceder?

    the day after we signed for this new contract, when we came back to the hotel that evening we were even denied a parking spot at the hotel parking place "because it was full". And these were not owners but just one night guests. I had a baby with me. We were forced to park at the other side of the hotel. When we went into the hotel it was full of "weird" people and everywehere was this pot smell. We got really mad because this is not what we bargained for, not the place to have a nice family holiday with little kids and especially not after being brainwashed into something even more expensive for the next year. So the next day we went down to cancel everything, but no sales person was around. We tried on Monday again and again no sales person around. Many of the qoutes on your paper apply to our sistuation. I suppose you can imagine how ripped off we felt and since we are not familiar with the States law we started to pay something we dont want. But now the situation got really bad over here and we really can't effort this anymore.

    MY WIFE & I BOUGHT INTO A VACATION CLUB IN MEXICO . WE STAYED IN SANDOS CARACOL RESORT & SIGNED CONTRACT FOR ROYAL ELITE. WE'VE FOUND OUT IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS THAT AVAILIABLITY OF RESORTS THAT WE REQUIRE ARE VERY LIMITED (SALES PERSON SHOWN US EXTENSIVE RANGE OF HOTELS). FLIGHT DEALS ARE NO BETTER THAN BOOKING MYSELF. WE ENQUIRED TO STAY LANZAROTE SANDOS DEC 2012 THE AI RATE IS IN TOTAL $1900 FOR THE WEEK. I FEEL THAT THIS IS GOING TO BE COSTLY IN THE LONG RUN, NOT THE IDEAL DEAL THAT WAS SOLD TO US.

We get answer with classical argument that refund is impossible (5 business days) and Royal Elite wants we sign another letter of agreement. Do you have any solutions to cancel our membership?

    Hola Compre una tiempo compatido en febrero solo que no cheque mi contrato cuando lo compre, ya que llegue a mi casa me di cuenta de muchas cosas que no habia contemplado antes, y mande mi carta de cancelacion el dia 8, yo se que por ley solo tengo 5 dias pero si ya no quiero, solo por el hecho de no haber cancelado antes de los 5 dias ya estoy esclavisado a pagar por 30 años?
