Royal Elite Vacation Club complaints:
- Salesperson claims that the all-inclusive fee is per couple, but in reality it is per person per night. Clients can often book the vacation cheaper online without using their timeshare, than with booking their timeshare and paying the maintenance fees and all-inclusive fees.
- Claim that they can resell a previously owned timeshare for a profit and use that money to pay for the new membership at Royal Elite Vacation Club.
- Salesperson offers extra weeks to clients for rental purposes. They claim that the rental income makes the timeshare a good financial investment, and they can use the money in the first few years to pay off the membership.
- Salesperson claims that they can trade their weeks to RCI points, and use the points to pay for 100% of an airline ticket, when in reality RCI only allows for clients to use points for 33% of the cost of the ticket.

I would like to get out of this time share ASAP. Lies, Lies, Lies and more lies. The deceit and fraudulence is beyond belief. It seems like everything we were told by the salesperson was a lie. Like many of the other complaints above among many others we have the same complaints. This company should not be permitted to sell another time share. I like the resort but I can get it cheaper if I did not own the timeshare. In addition the all inclusive cost per diem was supposed to be per couple. We were shocked and appalled at our first booking to learn that it was per individual. Lies, Lies, Lies and more lies. What an expensive false!
Al ir en mis vacaciones al Hotel Royal Elite Sandos Caracol recibí abiertamente al equipo de ventas que opera en el hotel ofreciendo los Tiempos Compartidos. Me comentaron que al adquirir una membresia podría pagar sólo la membresia y posteriormente disfrutar de las vacaciones sin costo adicional, pero resulta que debo de pagar una cuota, de la cuál nunca hablan, en la que el precio resultante es más costoso que el viaje que me llevó al hotel la promer ocasión. Al parecer he sido víctima de una estafa, de un fraude ¿Qué puedo hacer?
I purchased nine weeks with Royal Elite at their Sandos Caracol location and was told that I could expect to pay fifty dollars a day per person and if I wanted more than one room it would just use up another week. The total cost for this was about three grand. I signed up and have tried to use those weeks and the last emial response I recieved, because no one actually answers the phone there, told me it would be at least 155 per day per person. That's three times what I was quoted. Throughout my experience over the last three years I gone monthes without getting bills, have had Monterey Financial harass me and my family and have not even been able to use one week that I paid for.
I purchased this time share on feb 16, 2012. I was told that I would have a deferred annuity (paid for in full) and would receive money back in 30 years by Lloyds of London. Lloydshare Limited contacted us and said they only do 25 years and also want more money to enroll in the program. 2 red flags right off the bat. I would like to get out of this membership ASAP because of all the bad comments and notes I have read regarding Royal Elite and Mexico timeshare scams.
We purchased a Royal Elite timeshare with Sandos Caracol for a studio unit. One year later when we attempted to book the unit we were sold, we were told that unit does not actually exist at that resort. We can go to the "Superior" room, or pay extra weeks to be upgraded, IF they can accomodate us at the time. They are deceitful. Beware.
compre un time share con el Mayan Palace, nunca me advirtieron cuando compre el plan, que al hacer la reservacion hay que pagarla en un plazo de diez dias. Mi reserva era para septiembre, y tenia que pagarla desde mayo. ABSURDO. No tengo disponibilidad en este momento para pagarles, entonces si no reciben el dinero me cancelan mi membresia. Con tal de vender, envuelven a la gente con mentiras! No son claros, y prometen el cielo, tierra y no hay tal!!!! Les pague $2.887 usd, y no quieren devolver mi dinero!!! Juegan con el dinero ajeno!!!
A la salida del aeropuerto de Cancun, en lo posible NO dejarse enredar con ofertas o sugerencias de regalos, a cambio de oir las bellezas que ofrecen para enganchar a la gente!!!

Hola en Enero del año pasado fuimos de vacaciones en playa del carmen, al sandos caracol y nos engancharon con las mentiras, no nos dieron tiempo para pensar , fue como una presion. Compramos una membresia de U$D 7,000, pagamos el 30% en el momento y lo demas en cuotas, que seguimos pagando llevando 9 cuotas y ningun beneficio, no nos dan respuestas y estamos desesperados, pedimos la renuncia por mail pero no tenemos respuesta.
