Royal Elite Vacation Club complaints:
- Salesperson claims that the all-inclusive fee is per couple, but in reality it is per person per night. Clients can often book the vacation cheaper online without using their timeshare, than with booking their timeshare and paying the maintenance fees and all-inclusive fees.
- Claim that they can resell a previously owned timeshare for a profit and use that money to pay for the new membership at Royal Elite Vacation Club.
- Salesperson offers extra weeks to clients for rental purposes. They claim that the rental income makes the timeshare a good financial investment, and they can use the money in the first few years to pay off the membership.
- Salesperson claims that they can trade their weeks to RCI points, and use the points to pay for 100% of an airline ticket, when in reality RCI only allows for clients to use points for 33% of the cost of the ticket.

Compre hace un mes en Royal Elite y ahora la empresa de reventa me pide el titulo de mi semana de propiedad en mi pais y u$ 900 por traspaso. Que puedo hacer, creo que esto se trata de un fraude.
We purchased a timeshare at Royal Elite Sandos in 2010 and very frustrated we were lied to and deceived. Since they no longer wish to communicate with us we are looking for a legal solution. Bank/America rejection of re-imbursement credit card charge/payment.
Sres., creo estar siendo victima de un engaño. Firmé y estoy pagando un contrato con Royal Elite. Quisiera saber si ustedes han vivido una historia parecida a la mia, y si alguien a recuperado algo de dinero de esta empresa, la verdad pensamos que esto podria ser muy buen negocio, pero hasta despues de pensarlo y platicarlo entre mi esposa y yo nos dimos cuenta que nada de esto va a ser real y que nos estan estafando, nos sentimos muy decepcionados y con impotencia por todo el dinero que nos robaron practicamente de nuestras manos.
we have stupidly purchased a timeshare and have since rescinded it through prfeco within the 5 day time limit. Now we are hoping that our credit card will be reimbursed (we contacted them as well). I think it is a really fraudulant company that we are dealing with.
I need to get out of my contract with Royal Elite. I was promised to get money from the rentals of half of my timeshare that would offset the price I have to pay. Two years later, and nothing.
On Jan 17 we made a timeshare purchase in Mexico under pressure. We gave a $5000 deposit via credit card, but now owe $25000 to pay the balance. They put unfair pressure on us to make a decision without the opportunity to research the property, and this pressure was augmented because they did not provide us with the promised hotel room at the beginning, so we were partially motivated by getting our kids out of a terrible place into a nice place which they said they’d do if we purchased. I now believe we paid too much, and we don’t want to pay the balance and purchase the membership.
Royal Elite member since 2004, paid $7,000 for time share originally, Maint.fees started at $265., now $485. and of course there are always special assesments, we have rarely used it since we can not afford all the other money needed for the airfare, food or if all inclusive, which many resorts are going that way, it just is too much. The club misrepresented the cost it would be to own this, and even told us hold easy it would be to sell. Like most timeshare owners I just want out, we can't even get people to pay us out maint. fee price so they could use our timeshare, so we can get out of paying what we no longer can afford since my husband is retired.
We purchased a timeshare with Royal Elite in Cancun on Novemver 21, 2010. We are now back home and read many stories about this timeshare.It has been a nightmare form day one. I want to stop paying annual fees and not have that affect my credit rating.
Tenemos un problema con RE desde hace más de 3 meses se supone que ibamos a recibir un cheque por $1,500 dólares por las semanas que ellos iban a rentar por nosotro. Solamente compramos el tiempo compartido porque nos prometieron queibamos arecibir dineor rentando nuestras semanas. Les dijimos en mas d eun ocacion que no estamos interesados pero supieron como llegarnos, lamentablemente caimos y y ano sabemos como librarnos de esta.
