Royal Holiday does not have the best reputation among timeshare resorts. Most of their sales are conducted using high-pressure tactics, and a significant number of members feel they have been lied to or scammed. Many timeshare contracts are also misrepresented during the sales process.
One of the most common scams occurs at the time of purchase: a Royal Holiday salesperson will make verbal promises to get you to sign the contract. However, the contract clearly states that any verbal promises made by the sales associate are invalid unless they are explicitly included in the written agreement.
Royal Holiday promises excellent customer service to its members, but this only seems to apply when members call to make a payment. If you have questions or concerns about your membership, the associate will likely say they will send you the information via email—but that email never arrives. The most common response to any unhappy member is to suggest an upgrade, regardless of the issue. As a result, members often end up paying even more for a membership they were never satisfied with in the first place.
Booking with Royal Holiday presents another challenge. During the sales pitch, they promise you can travel anywhere, at any time. This is far from the truth. Your travel options depend entirely on the points you purchase, and unfortunately, they almost always sell you a small points package. By the time you realize you need more points, you're forced to upgrade and pay additional fees.
Most Royal Holiday sales are conducted outdoors or at locations other than their official sales offices. As a "courtesy," they allow you to purchase and sign the contract on the spot, with the salesperson briefly explaining the terms—often omitting important details. Some associates even send the documents to your home while you're still on vacation. By the time you return home and carefully read the contract, you realize it’s not what you thought it was—and worse, your recession period has already expired.
Royal Holiday sales associates may also tell you that you're making a great investment in real estate. This is another major lie. A timeshare is neither an investment nor real estate. You are simply leasing a hotel room for a set period once a year; you do not own the property. It is not an investment because there is no resale market or rental opportunity, meaning there is no potential for profit.

Dejen de embarcarse en compra de tiempos compartidos, son un fraude, robo a mano armada con mayúsculas, robo desfalco, esto hace daño al país el turismos se ira, yo misma ya no pienso viajar a ninguna parte, además mi tarjeta de crédito esta hasta el tope y tengo una deuda para 6 años y una esclavitud de estar pagando de por vida mantenimientos, si pueden zafarse háganlo a tiempo, no compre tiempos compartidos que se les ofrece como oportunidad de negocio, se arruinan financieramente, no se metan en eso, no es verdad que se pueden rentar
El día domingo 27 de octubre de 2024, ya para hacer el check-out, al bajar del transporte proporcionado por el hotel Royal Holiday Huatulco, me rompieron el asa de mi maleta, lo reporte en recepción y la persona de nombre "Eveline Tablas Pilo con cargo Jefa de rececpción con una actitud de fastido y poco profesional me comentó que realizaría el reporte correspondiente sin otorgarme ningún comprobante del reporte, argumentando que debía de presentar en ese momento la factura de compra de la maleta (obvio uno no va cargando la factura de la maleta), esta persona tomó fotografías pero por su actitud seguro no hizo nada, pues hasta el momento no he tenido ningún correo por parte de ROYAL HOLIDAT HUATULCO que me diga algo sobre el tema. En general el personal de recepción es poco profesional y no cuentan con una buena capacitación para atender a las personas ( son prepotentes y desconocen de los procedimientos internos del hotel)
Me gustaría cancelar tengo la más alta calificación de adeudo pero desde la pandemia no tengo ningúna posibilidad de pagar las cuotas anuales que se incrementan cada mes, y tengo cero posibilidades de algún crédito en esta momento.
Hola.soy mariana de argentina. Contrate el plan image..venia pagando y al faltar nos 5 cuotas nos pasamos a un plan mayor...este por suerte lo caducados antes de los 5 días. Y me dijeron que no.pague más el plan anterior
