Between 2019 and 2023, more than 850 Suspicious Activity Reports were filed, flagging approximately $330 million in potentially fraudulent transactions. In 2025, OFAC sanctioned 13 Mexican companies involved in timeshare fraud schemes in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.

i was invited by a promoter, he told me i would help him because they receive a bonification per couple that goes to they're presentation and i ended up buying, it was the worst choice ever, i'm stuck for 99 years, i cannot rent my weeks, i cannot go anywhere else, don't do it!

Velas Vallarta is a terrible company that takes advantage of foreign visitors by misleading promises and subterfuge. Avoid at all costs.
when you sign papers with them or any other resort they claimed that you are subject to Mexican law, which mean they win automatically, all they have to do is paid a corrupt Judge (all of them) and they are free of guilt.

Nosotros estuvimos a punto de firmar una especie de TC pero con hospedaje y traslado en el mismo paquete… quedamos en volver al dia siguiente a firmar… y en la noche nos pusimos a leer las letras chiquitas y habia TANTAS restricciones que nos hicieron abrir los ojos y darnos cuenta que lo que nos estaban vendiendo no era realmente lo que por la tarde nos habia parecido SENSACIONAL.
