Royal Holiday does not have the best reputation among timeshare resorts. Most of their sales are conducted using high-pressure tactics, and a significant number of members feel they have been lied to or scammed. Many timeshare contracts are also misrepresented during the sales process.
One of the most common scams occurs at the time of purchase: a Royal Holiday salesperson will make verbal promises to get you to sign the contract. However, the contract clearly states that any verbal promises made by the sales associate are invalid unless they are explicitly included in the written agreement.
Royal Holiday promises excellent customer service to its members, but this only seems to apply when members call to make a payment. If you have questions or concerns about your membership, the associate will likely say they will send you the information via email—but that email never arrives. The most common response to any unhappy member is to suggest an upgrade, regardless of the issue. As a result, members often end up paying even more for a membership they were never satisfied with in the first place.
Booking with Royal Holiday presents another challenge. During the sales pitch, they promise you can travel anywhere, at any time. This is far from the truth. Your travel options depend entirely on the points you purchase, and unfortunately, they almost always sell you a small points package. By the time you realize you need more points, you're forced to upgrade and pay additional fees.
Most Royal Holiday sales are conducted outdoors or at locations other than their official sales offices. As a "courtesy," they allow you to purchase and sign the contract on the spot, with the salesperson briefly explaining the terms—often omitting important details. Some associates even send the documents to your home while you're still on vacation. By the time you return home and carefully read the contract, you realize it’s not what you thought it was—and worse, your recession period has already expired.
Royal Holiday sales associates may also tell you that you're making a great investment in real estate. This is another major lie. A timeshare is neither an investment nor real estate. You are simply leasing a hotel room for a set period once a year; you do not own the property. It is not an investment because there is no resale market or rental opportunity, meaning there is no potential for profit.

Hola, compre un tal Royal Dream çVacations que seupuestamente me daria acceso a las mejores tarifas y mejores instalaciones, pero al querer reservar los precios salen igual que si yo lo haria con otro hotel sin tener nada, ya que este paquete solo se puede con all inclusive y solo 2 hoteles no, por lo tanto no lo he usado porque voy a pagar mas aparte de lo que ya estoy pagando. podria alguien decirme lo que pueda hacer tovadia tengo que pagar 6000 pesos de 32000 pesos que nos vendieron.

Tengo una membresia con Royal Holiday y la tengo de hace 3 años y me faltan 3 por pagar en dolares y viendo que sube el dolar como espuma pues nunca voy a acabarles de pagar, el mayor engaño que me hiciero fue que me iban a respetar el tipo de cambio al dia que firmara el contrato y se iba a quedar fijo para todo el credito, lo cual no fue cierto porque me cobran a como este el dolar al dia que hacen el cargo.
We are Brazilians and We were recently in Mexico, and We bought a travel plan (Royal Holiday Thimeshare) . Like all reports that we see on this site, we were also deceived. However, we did not pay yet. Just leave a check from a Brazilian bank as collateral. The check is completed in dollars and has no value in Brazil, because our law does not permit checks completed in currencies other than the Brazilian. I have a contract with Royal Holiday since 05/2008 and I stopped making payments since 07/2010. I don't have exactly how much I have paid but it is about $5,000 but what I am most interested in is in cancel the contract and stop receiving those collection calls every day. What can I do?

me gustaria saber que puedo hacer para cancelar un contrato por una membresia en royal holiday, pues ya pasaron los 5 dias que marca profeco y no le encuentro solucion a este problema. Nos jugaron el dedo en la boca, nos vendieron cosas distintas alas que estan en el contrato y ahora estamos metidos en una grande deuda sin ningun beneficio.
