Is it safe to make a purchase for timeshare in Ebay?

I'm just wondering why they are selling it so cheap. What is the catch. I have been surfing the internet for different timeshare resales and I know there are some that are being sold for $500 but for auction on ebay with a very low starting bid and if no one bids then if the starting bid is 1.00, what is next?
