  3. When timeshare owners try to rent their timeshare weeks, they are referred to another company that charges a listing fee, and the rental is never completed.
  4. It is nearly impossible to resell your timeshare unit, and some timeshare owners ended up being ripped off by timeshare resale scam companies trying to sell it.
  5. Real Club charges ridiculous amounts of money for a timeshare property that you don’t own entirely.
  6. Timeshare maintenance fees are the worst part because they increase year by year.
  7.  A Real Club timeshare is not flexible; you are subject to many conditions and restrictions.
  8.  It is almost impossible to make a reservation in the hotel, and you are never able to use your timeshare unit.
  9. The timeshare sales tactics of the timeshare salespeople are unethical and high-pressure.
  10. They promise that they have a company that will buy your old timeshare for a considerable amount of money.

I do not find anything new on this, more and more appear timeshare scammers , is an abuse how they use the trust of people promising a thousand things and once you buy them things start to change , turns to a disaster, it is better not to approach timeshares of any kind really, good article

The entire timeshare presentation thing is a numbers game - the more people that go to see a property, the better chance of making a sale - i'm quite sure there are many people who have gone to presentations for the freebies & ended up buying in - the freebies are offered to get people onto the property - it's part of the cost of doing business in the industry - i don't know why there are folks who look down on those who do the presentation for the freebies - everyone's time is worth something - that means the time of both the vacationer & the salesman - if someone on vacation is offered freebies to attend & chooses to use their vacation time that way, so be it - and if the salesman (& the property) are good enough, a sale can be achieved -

Unfortunately, the "fight" for getting people onto a property for a presentation seems to have gotten pretty nasty - wasn't so much so, way back in the beginning of timeshare -

A lot of it comes down to "let the buyer beware" -

My husband and I purchased a timeshare in playa del carmen, mexico. early Jan2013. It was total almost US$12000 and paid down payment US$2500 by credit card.We want to cancel our timeshare since we found out that there is not much benefit of owning a timeshare and financially struggling as well. i emailed the cancellation request to the hotel accounting dep. and still waiting for their response. Is there still any ways to terrminate my timeshare?
