Is Real Club timeshare a scam?
We purchased a timeshare contract with Playa del Sol after a VERY high pressure sales presentation that lasted for several hours with our 2 small boys in tow July 22, 2015 at the beginning of a week long vacation in Cabo San Lucas (we were not leaving until day #6 & there was no readily available means to further evaluate this contract plus the 6 month delay to even access any of the "proposed benefits" presented in the contract / presentation). In addition to the fraudulent timeshare contract fee (discrepancies noted below) we were also required to pay an additional fee of $549 to the company for exchange purposes and to use first several years worth of weeks as credit towards contract fee. This was also to be used for rental purposes to provide rental income for our timeshare as an investment. I will continue contacting appropriate websites and agencies to present and/or post my case and the ongoing issues I have with Playa del Sol and their goal to keep our money.
In my mind it doesn't make sense to buy a timeshare. It is not an investment and it ties you down to yet another payment which may or may not make money. In fact it is not a cost effective way of vacationing. Instead, Playa del Sol is a very scamming resort.
The only investment timeshares offer is a yearly vacation for you and your family, but is almost impossible to go to the resort. Timeshares are not considered financial investments.
Worst thing i ever made , many people maybe dont know but , timeshare scam actually is very common , so the best thing that we can do is to avoid all of that , for nothing is a good investment . also the cost of the maintenance fees are strangely high , every month is getting more expensive to have a timeshare, for now i quit.
I was encouraged to purchase at Playa del Sol timeshare as an investment opportunity and it seems that similar sales tactics were used with all of you. The sellers are taking advantage from many of our conational's making thousands from this timeshare issue every year, I find it very disturbing and I feel that the contract is protecting the lies of sales department, why to invest if we are not going to make a profit from it?
we purchased a timeshare at Playa del Sol in Puerto Vallarta last November. We now know it was a big mistake and want out. We just want out but dont want to be sued for not paying the fees, Any help will be appreciated.
