Beware timeshares , timeshare industry is not a good deal , you must be very carefull of what you sign when you get involved, timeshare maintenance fees are very high and is like a no end circle , dont waste your money and avoid timeshare presentations , actually im cancelling mine timeshare contract with Villa del Palmar , good luck .

Timeshares are the worse legal scams I have encountered! The presenters actually get testy when you say no! The managers sit around like a bunch of trained assassins ready to attack! The price of timeshares are heavily inflated and they act like that is the only way to vacation. If you want to sell you run into another scam.
I can't get out of this. Mayan Palace sales tactics are hardcore and they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you into the contract and keep you in contract with them. Most of the Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam being committed by the Sales representative is that they don’t let their buyers know they have a 5 days cooling period if they wish to cancel; instead, they repeatedly tell they buyers once the contract is being sign there is no cancellation period.
The big thing about timeshares is how they are sold. The sellers allow potential customers to come to the vacation site in exchange for attending a seminar on why they should buy a timeshare. While the average person comes in not intending to buy, the sellers are quite persuassive and often are successful. However, their techniques are often regarded as sneaky or dishonest.
For example, some visitors are required to spend inordinate amounts of time at these seminars. In other cases, one seller will offer an artifically high price just so another seller can present the real offer, making it appear cheaper. Additionally, sellers may put pressure on people by saying the offer is only on the table if they buy that day.
Other complaints include maintenance costs and the difficulty of getting rid of a timeshare once one no longer wishes to vacation in the resort.
We were scammed too and we want out but don’t know how to get out. I wrote to their office and explained how we were deceived, lied and high pressured into this thing. We can not afford it either, we would take the loss and donate it, but as you said that can be a scam too…..If you’ve found any help….I’d appreciate knowing how to get out.

I have a timeshare and I would like toget rid of it without ruining my credit score. They are forcing me to pay the fees or they will report to my credit report. I have ask for other solutions because I can't afford the payments and they said I have no choice.
