I heard the quickest way to get rid of your timeshare is to NOT paid the maintenance fees. Is this true and are there any repercussions for not paying maintenance fees just let it go into foreclosure?

my problem is the use fees we were quoted are entirely wrong. I was quoted 585. user fee for 2 bed unit at mayan Palace and 1050 for the Grand mayan. Now whe i tried to book it is 1250. for the Mayan Palace and 1400 for the Grand Mayan. no where near the 585. quoted. Im going to contact Mexican authorities as stated in a few posts up.

I recently attended one of these presentations. The problem I saw was that wen I asked at the end for materials to check out for myself if the financials were sound as an investment, the salesDude said those materials are not available.
My only thought is "if it were a good investment, it would be for sale like other real estate, and the high-pressure sales tactics wouldn't be needed".
So to me, the entire setup is a confession by the sales team that it is a bad idea.

I am in the same boat here. Purchased in June, total scam, not receiving what we paid for at all and now trying to fight it through local state agency. It is through Pueblo Bonito. Why don’t we ban together and start a class action against ueblo Bonito? We are all talking but no one is acting and we are all victims of a serious scam.
