Who are their salespeople?
The salespeople are often used as a scapegoats for the timeshare scam. Customers will complain to the resort that they were offered many fraudulent promises that didn’t come true.
The resort will often reply that the salesperson has been fired or has left the organization, and the timeshare company cannot be held responsible for that individual’s actions.

Are they referring clients to fraudulent rental, resale or escrow agencies?
Ethical companies normally only refer other ethical third-party companies to their clients. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true.
Victims of timeshare scams are often referred by the timeshare resort to unethical rental, resale or trading companies that scam the clients for upfront listing fees.
The resorts often work in tandem with these third-party agencies.
The rental or resale agents will tell clients that they have renters or buyers, but the clients have to pay their maintenance fees before they can be processed.
The clients have no intention of paying the maintenance fee if it is not used. In the end, the property does not rent or sell, but the third-party agency has ensured that the timeshare resort receives their annual maintenance fee.
When the client complains to the resort about the outside agency, the resort says that they are not affiliated companies and cannot control their actions.
This lack of response and unethical referral is another reason why timeshare resorts receive negative ratings.
Is the resort overselling the property?
A resort’s timeshare rating can be severely affected by the availability of reservations. If a timeshare owner is not able to book their timeshare weeks, this can cause a lot of frustration and regret over their timeshare purchase.
Many timeshare scam companies oversell their properties because they make more money on the sale of the timeshare and the yearly maintenance fees.
How does the resort treat their existing timeshare owners?
The timeshare ratings for each company depend highly on the customer service provided to the timeshare owners.
If their clients have a problem, whether it is regarding a lie told by the sales rep, or just a simple issue with their room or reservation, they expect high-quality customer service.
Many of the timeshare resorts are luxury properties that attract clients who demand excellent customer service.
When the timeshare resort ignores their concerns, refuses to answer their calls or emails, or does not provide English-speaking staff, the client deservedly becomes frustrated.
Typically, when people have complaints, they will share them with other existing and potential clients on review sites and complaints boards.
If there are few complaints, this is a good sign that the company is not a scam.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY CLAIMING THEY WILL LIST, SELL OR RENT YOUR TIMESHARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to work for a resale company. (Not selling, doing receptionist) I saw deceptive, and fraudulent activity on a daily basis. I also had to be abused by the customers who listed their property for sale or rent, and called in to see “get an update”. I wanted to scream into the phone … “NOTHING IS HAPPENING WITH YOUR PROPERTY OR ANY OTHER PROPERTY BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO BUY OR RENT YOUR TIMESHARE, EXCEPT YOU!” I have been in this business for years, and have NEVER seen a property sold or rented. EVER! Haven’t you ever wondered how the telemarketer got your name in the first place? Let me tell you … Once you buy a timeshare, you are put on a “SUCKER” list … that is then bought and sold, over and over again. If a sales person got you at one, they will quit and go to another company, and then claim that they can “get your money back” if you list with the new company. It is discusting, and I wish all Attorney General’s would shut the businesses down. DO NOT PAY A FEE TO SELL YOUR TIMESHARE … HANG UP THE PHONE!!!!!
Timeshares themselves are a rip off. Id rather just save money and buy a place outright or rent a place where ever I want to go on vacation.

entre empresas fraude se apoyan, asi que cualquier consejo que nos den dentro de la misma empresa, deberiamos ignorarlo
claro, los vendedores no son mas que la cara que pone el resort, es decir, son los culpables de todo SIEMPRE
this happen at all the mexico beach destination resorts. They treat you very nice prior to your presentation which is usually about two days after you arrive. Then once you decline their offer for the 100th time they treat you like dirt. they forget get you name they are rude when you ask for something. yes there's always a U.S. or Canadian rep. working along a Local. Its that to aging your trust I'm not sure. I've experience this in cabo san lucas, san jose de cabo, puerto vallarta, cancun, manzanillo and mazatlan. its all a big scam
