Are you Able to Contact your Timeshare Salesperson When you Need Them Most?
Is what you heard at the sales presentation the same as what you are being offered on your vacations? How does your timeshare relate to what you were told by the salesperson?

When making a timeshare purchase that costs thousands of dollars, you should expect professional and legitimate service from all the timeshare staff members that you encounter.
The Timeshare salesperson is hired by the resort to represent their sales efforts.
As such, the timeshare salesperson should provide you with a business card with their personal email address and telephone number that belongs to the resort system.
If the Timeshare salesperson gives you a business card with their name handwtitten on it along with their Hotmail, Yahoo, or Gmail email address or their personal cell phone number, be careful, as this might be evidence that the resorts won't trust their sales reps to provide them with an email address from the resort webpage (example: lastname@resortname.com).
They will try to convince you that they are doing you a favor by providing you with their personal contact information, so you can reach them at any time if you have any questions or problems.
They also fraudulently claim to even be available in the evenings and on weekends because they are dedicated to their clients’ well-being.
This is a common scam in the timeshare industry.
In reality, we have heard from many defrauded timeshare purchasers who have experienced problems with their timeshare memberships.
When they try to contact their timeshare salesperson at their personal email address, the message is returned as undeliverable.
The Timeshare salespeople set up these email addresses to give the impression of excellent customer service; however, these are false email addresses, so the message will not get delivered or will get sent to an inactive account to which no one checks or responds.
The personal cell phone numbers are also part of the artifice.
When clients try to contact them, they typically have inactive or disconnected phone numbers.
The clients are left feeling helpless and foolish for believing the salesperson’s lies about pretending to be their friend.

It is wise to ensure that you have the correct names and professional contact information for all the people that you were in contact with during the sales presentation to ensure that you don’t get scammed and in case you are required to follow up with them regarding your membership.
You should even attempt to send an email or call them at the address/number they provide you before you agree to sign any contract.
Take your time to do the research to ensure that their contact information is valid, so that you do not get caught in a situation of timeshare fraud.
When spending tens of thousands of dollars on an investment, you need to ensure that your hard-earned money is being entrusted to good hands.
When clients try to contact the resorts to ask for their salesperson, they are often told that the salesperson no longer works there, or was fired.
It is true that there is high turnover in the timeshare industry.
This is due to many reasons; here are just a few:
• Legitimate salespeople are encouraged to use fraudulent tactics to increase sales, so they choose to quit as they do not like to risk their name by using unethical practices in a timeshare scam.
• The salespeople do not want to follow up on complaints of fraud or timeshare scams, so they leave to work at other resorts.
Some timeshare salespeople have a history of moving from resort to resort very quickly in order to avoid prosecution for their timeshare fraud.
• The timeshare resorts fire the salesperson to use them as a scapegoat.
The resort claims that they did not support the salesperson’s unethical practices, so the person was fired.
The resort also claims that they cannot cancel timeshare memberships that were sold by this person because it was not their fault, and they don’t have individual proof of the lies that the salesperson told the individual client in the scam.
• In reality, the salesperson does still work in the office, but his or her secretary has been advised to say that they no longer work there in order to make the scammed client feel like they have no recourse.

Las personas que venden no tienen el mas minimo escrupulo en considerar tu opinion , me refiero a que no les importa si puedes o no pagarlo , ellos solo necesitan que firmes el contrato para cobrar su comision y gracias a ello te prometen mil cosas con el fin de convencerte y firmes, cosa que despues te das cuenta que nada de lo que te prometieron fue verdad, suerte .
Creo que gran parte de esta gran estafa de los tiempos compartidos parte desde los vendedores que quieren venderte , en mi caso no cai en sus trampas, pero me di cuenta de lo que son capaces por tal de que les firmes y asistas a la presentacion de tiempo compartido , te ofrecen cosas gratis como , desayunos , paseos, descuentos, etc etc que la verdad parece tentador en el momento pero no se dejen engañar sale mucho mas caro despues.
months ago i went to cancun with my wife , actually i have a huge problem with pueblo bonito resort, they promised me a lot of things when i signed the contract of my timeshare weeks, but actually i cant use it, they said that i need to do an "upgrade" to use my timeshare because i only payed the contract fee?, what it that mean ?
Most of the times we want to invest in something that could help us on a future, timeshares in this case is a very risky thing, actually im on a process of cancellation for my timeshare, the guys that sell the timeshares are the firs persons that disappear, in nowdays i dont have any clue of that person , by the way we are not such a fool persons so we can assume that those people the only thing that really want is to sell and then get their money, so pls be carefull

Timeshare presentations are not a good way to make a buck.
If you divide the amount of time you get for vacation in a lifetime, the amount you would have gotten paid to work at your employer during your vacation time, minus the time it took you to get to your destination. It’s worth like $500 an hour. I was offered a $600 Helecopter tour to go on a presentation in Hawaii, I said no, my time is more valuable. In addition, I was not interested nor had the extra funds to purchase a timeshare. I am in food service sales, and I do not want someone wasting my time when I am working. Going on presentations where people make straight commission and basically wasting their time for $100 is bad karma. Desperate people do these kinds of things, next you’ll be hitting up the nearest car lot for free pizza and soft drinks…please get a life.
Timeshare predators show up from the moment you are arriving in the airport, and pursue you your whole vacation. It is not nice that on every corner they ask you for a Timeshare presentation, although, going to a presentation can give you a lot of discounts on activities up to 50%. If you do not want to go to a Timeshare presentation just tell them you have one already. Just saying no doesn't help at all, as they will try to convince you...
I fell for the 90 minute presentation and believed them when they gauranteed the sale of my time share weeks to offset the cost. The presentation lasted 5 hours and took away the relaxation and pleasure of the vacation. Whenever I have been there since the timeshare scammers are like locusts trying to devour your time and attention.
The Office of Tourism should put a stop to the over-activity of time share sales.
