I purchased this membership in January. And I can assure you this is a fradulant scam. They sale you the membership and tel you that you can get y our money back by marketing your weeks with RMS. Well, RMS is no longer in business. Now its GDS. I have called and called, left messages with Aaron who sold me this membership. I get good response from GDS, but Aaron from the REEF hasnt replied to me in months. I seriously doubt anyone has ever been paid a dime from RMS or GDS. Now we find out that we can't even use our membership at the REEF, they dont even partner with Diamond. If you have time RECEND this soon as possible. It is a scam.

This place is a TRAP. Do not fall for the ‘Vacation Club’ sales pitch. We fell for it and are currently working with our credit card to get our $9000 back. There are a couple suites they say you can stay in for free for 10 weeks a year with the membership. The sales pitch includes a proposal that their marketing partner, Resort Marketing Solutions, will buy back vacation weeks you don’t want. Even though the salesman assured us the weeks would sell within a maximum of 90 days that hasn’t happened --- we get nothing but continued excuses.
I have emailed the Director of Public Relations at the Reef Playacar and email has been ignored. When we attempt I to book our 10 weeks, there is no response from Royal Diamond Resorts or the Reef Playacar! Take our advice and ‘steer clear’!
Email me at [E-mail] if you want to find a way to put these people out of business. POWER IN NUMBERS! Send any ideas that have worked for you! Yeah Team!!!

We recently booked as well. It did sound too good to be true but the sales rep made it seem so logical. Their reasoning was they want to avoid paying tax as a hotel which is like 30% or so. If they are able to rent out from owners instead, they avoid the high tax. We have only got one phone call and one email from GDS which is the the company that is responsible for renting out our two weeks and we were promised yearly income of $4000. We are skeptical now from reading this. Has anyone been sucessful in getting their money back or are happy with them???

Someone mentioned that maybe Profeco can help within the first year. Can you provide more information on that?

Feeling very sick by this all. We were scammed as well. Now a year on we have not received anything and paid a lot. We just received an email from RMS saying they no longer work with the Reef and to stop calling. Is there any legal action we can take to get money back this far along? Feeling so sad.

This is a total scam. They will tell you that you are buying a resale and because of that you do not have a 5 day cancellation period. This is totally false. They will not give you an address of RMS. You are dealing with three companies. RMS, The Reef, and Royal Diamond Resorts. You sign different documents for all three companies. Each companiy can then try to enforce the document you signed. Profeco will help if you try to get out of the contract within one year..

Horrible experience and now BOA is saying it isn't fraud because we gave them the cc number. Unfortunately like many of you buying the "Reef Club" we were promised they'd sell our other two timeshares and we'd owe nothing out of pocket and RMS would market our weeks in 2012, that never happened either. Then they told us we couldn't come back till 2014 and we had a yearly contract that never got put into the system. We lost $20,000 and if we do end up having to keep them, I'll have to buy the interval international because I'd never want to go back there. They are total liars and cheats and if I ever go to Playa again, everyone on the plane will get a note of warning about this place.

Argh, just bought in to the deal, whereas you get paid out $2,000 per week for each unused week. Seeing some mixed comments on here. Please e-mail me either way as I am only on Mexico for 2 more days and am feeling very uneasy about this. [E-mail]

So reading this now. Makes me sick. I went to the same sales pitch as l.shaws mother. Was told after I gave them a 3000.00 deposit. I was told they would buy my timeshare and would have the me the balance paid in 180 days after talking to Kevin at rms today. Stating that they have not sold my property and want a 60 day extending period. Kevin is saying that is is my problem and i will have to pay them the money if my other timeshare is not paid. I TOLD HIM TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND I WANTED MY OLD TIMESHARE BACK. This is the biggest SCAM. I have ever been involved in. I can't even type I am so MAD.
