Royal Elite Vacation Club complaints:

  • Salesperson claims that the all-inclusive fee is per couple, but in reality it is per person per night. Clients can often book the vacation cheaper online without using their timeshare, than with booking their timeshare and paying the maintenance fees and all-inclusive fees.
  • Claim that they can resell a previously owned timeshare for a profit and use that money to pay for the new membership at Royal Elite Vacation Club.
  • Salesperson offers extra weeks to clients for rental purposes. They claim that the rental income makes the timeshare a good financial investment, and they can use the money in the first few years to pay off the membership.
  • Salesperson claims that they can trade their weeks to RCI points, and use the points to pay for 100% of an airline ticket, when in reality RCI only allows for clients to use points for 33% of the cost of the ticket.
  • Royal Elite membership cost

We recently returned from Mexico and were induced into purchasing a timeshare. They told us we could cancel. I just got off the phone with them and they told me that there were no provisions to cancel and could not get me down payment back.

We purchased a timeshare at Sandos Playacar. We are tired of the scam! We went into a contract with Sierra Resort services to sell the timeshare and they too must be a scam. They have asked for more money now that we are at the closing. we Have never used it one time and have already invested over $7000.00

I am involved in a timeshare scam with Royal Elite/Sandos Carocol and Sierra Resort Services. I would like to cancel  the contract with Royal Elite. The contract was signed on December 15, 2010. Made $5000 down payment.

We are currently working with Profeco regarding a scam by Royal elite in Cancun . We realize the process is very slow. What can you do to assist us? What are the fees associated with you services. We are out $15,700.

I bought a 7 years time share with Royal Elite in last Dec, after verification it's really not what it's supposed to be. We have to pay a lot more to travel. The sales tactics were aggressive and relentless.

Purchased a timeshare  in Cancun. Now that I am trying to book a holiday I am discovering all the lies we were told.  they told us that some resorts were all inclusive, and there were no addition fees for them, just redeeming your points. Now, I need to pay $80 per person per day in AI fees. This works out to more then I can book the exact same room for on my own. They also stated that there were no annual fees, yet now I am being told that there is a usage fee that must be paid each year to use the holiday package. It seems that everything they told us was a lie.
