Attractive gifts are usually offered to vacationers in order to make them attend a timeshare presentation.

Timeshare Exit Companies

With a market full of defrauded timeshare owners, there are many timeshare exit companies that claim to get you out of your contract.

This could be great news for the people who have been scammed with the purchase of fractional ownership if it weren’t for the fact that most of these companies are just extensions of the original scam.

Before hiring the services of a timeshare exit company, we highly recommend:

  • Do not pay any upfront fees in an effort to get rid of your timeshare
  • Do some internet research on the company that will assist you with your timeshare issue
  • Beware of unsolicited phone calls from companies claiming to have a solution for you to get rid of your timeshare
  • Avoid companies using 900 numbers, these types of numbers are often associated with fraud cases

I think it's like everything in the timeshare, nothing is reliable, they are always going to cheat you and steal your money

"Timeshares answers" and "cancel by owner" are these legit companies that can help you terminate your contract? They are asking $2500 fee. I fear that it might be a scam.

Timeshare Relief is the largest of the "pay us to take your timeshare" companies. Their business model is based on generating traffic to local seminars, where a well designed presentation is given to convince timeshare owners that they must pay a high fee in order to have the company take over their timeshare ownership. Currently, I'm not aware of any proven instances where a consumer stated that the transfer process was not completed, although there have been numerous reports that owners have "fallen through the cracks" and had to repeatedly complain before the transfer was completed. The other main complaint about their business model is that at times, the sales people running the seminars appear to push the envelope of truth during their presentations.

yo no puedo creer mas en este tipo de empresas, simplemente prometen cosas pero nada nunca sucede, lo mejor es mantenerse al tanto de la situacion y no caer en las trampas
