BEWARE of the Villa Group Timeshare
If you see those Vidanta guys Run. We were in Cozumel on 11/23/19 and approached by the salesman on the main drag, he seemed nice and trustworthy. Well, we went to the office and the name there was Vida. Then they said it was Vidanta and that they weren't a timeshare and also they were going to help us get out of our timeshare if we signed it over to them and that they would use it as a down payment and we could pay almost nothing down. Well after going back and forth and them trying all types of seems to get us to buy we just said no at every offer they threw at us. Then I got tired and said we have been here long enough and I was afraid we were going to miss out on our ship boarding time. So I got up from the table and told my wife lets to go. Then they came out trying to belittle us by saying derogatory remarks. I said If you keep doing that when I get back on board the Carnival Cruise ship I will tell everyone especially security about the tactics you use here and ask them to pay my taxi ride back to where we were picked up. For a short time there I thought my wife and I were in danger of being kidnaped or held hostage because we didn't sign but for God's sake do not listen to them or especially go to the office. They are bad news.
This is the worst scam ever don't believe anything they say or promise as nothing is true. The sales reps makes sure that you sign and not see what you are doing so that they can get you later. These people should be ashamed.
I was in Walmart in Cancun Mexico and I was approached by this man name Israel and he offered me discounted tickets for amusement activities, I specifically advised him I was not interested in any timeshare and that I prefer to pay full price for any chosen activity, he swore and promised I would be helping him for just attending a presentation with no string attached. I attended the presentation today and boy was it a lie, they kept me for 6 hours while I was told it would be 90 minutes. They kept pressuring me into buying their timeshare program, offering the same deals at lower and lower prices and kept saying no and reminded them I originally said I was not interested in a timeshare, the last salesman became rude because I stood my ground and when it was time to claim my ticket which I paid for they tried to low ball me and even though they were supposed to provide me with transportation to Cirque du Soleil, they canceled it and didn't honor their promise. Don't invest in this company they're scammers and liars. Their goal is to approach travelers and try to take advantage of them!

We have been promised money for the company to rent out our weeks. That was the only reason we agreed to trade in our other timeshares and to purchase with this company. They have not held up to their end of the deal and we feel they have tricked us in the way they wrote up the contracts for what they said they would do. Vidanta is doing nothing about helping us just claiming if we don't pay up will take us to collections etc. We will be out triple digits if we pay the total amount which is due in 2 weeks and feel like we will be getting scammed in the process.
