The Complaints

Real Club timeshare reviews are full of complaints. If you take a look around the web you will find lots of complaints about this timeshare resort. What people complaint most about is:

  1. People purchase a timeshare with them because they make tons of verbal promises which are not on the contract.
  2. The timeshare salespeople promise to rent the timeshare as a financial investment and to pay off the membership.
  3. When timeshare owners try to rent their timeshare weeks, they are referred to another company that charges a listing fee and the rental is never completed.
  4. It is nearly impossible to resell your timeshare unit and some timeshare owners ended up being ripped off by timeshare resale scam companies trying to sell it.
  5. Real Club charges ridiculous amounts of money for a timeshare property that you don’t own entirely.
  6. Timeshare maintenance fees are the worst part because they increase year by year.
  7.  A Real Club timeshare is not flexible; you are subject to many conditions and restrictions.
  8.  It is almost impossible to make a reservation in the hotel, and you are never able to use your timeshare unit.
  9. The timeshare sale tactics of the timeshare salespeople are unethical and high pressure.
  10. They promise that they have a company that will buy your old timeshare for a considerable amount of money.

The sales tactics are the same for everyone at Real Club timeshare resorts. Hard sell, disrespectful when you say no, broken promises. DO NOT think for one moment that you have an upper hand...these are professional con artists highly trained to take your money. You have no chance of ever seeing your money again or receiving anything close to the value you were promised. Assume that everything posted by Real Club and its affiliates is a lie or a scam. Never do business with this company; never buy a mayan palace timeshare scam.

I recently purchased at Real Club. Was lied to on several points. Trying to get out of contract. Do not buy Real Club timeshare. If you really want timeshare check out ebay

Real Club timeshares are NOTHING but a scam. The salespeople tell you one thing, then once you make the purchase, you find out it was all lies. If you know anyone who is contemplating buying one, tell them not to waste their money. For the amount they would spend on it, they could easily take a vacation once a year, and they won't be saddled with maintenance fees, etc.

Though I do agree the way in which the real club persuades you to purchase a membership may be a little on the "shady" side but I have a membership and know about 15 others who do as well that love it! I did not spend $20,000 to purchase mine either. I continuously told them no and at the end they offered me a 12 week, $2,000 option that has 5 blackout dates. I have been a member for almost 3 years now and most of the weeks have been used, but I will be "renewing" my membership soon. I have sold a few of my weeks through RCI with no problems as well. The Real Club team has always been very nice and as helpful as possible. In May we went to Playa del Carmen for my college graduation and decided I liked the "scene" of Cancun much more. I simply contacted the represenative at the hotel and asked to be switched to the Gran Caribe in Cancun, within an hour I had received a phone call asking me when I would like to transfer hotels, cost free. Once at the Gran Caribe we decided to upgrade our room, which took about 10 minutes from start to finish. Anything to do?

Real Club is a scam with the lowest ethical standards. They tell you lies to make you buy their packages. I bought their package and regret it very much. I wish I had done some research about them.

Do not buy timeshare or buy their special vacation package!

    Cordial saludo,

I've owned a timeshare in Real Club for about 5 years and have never used it. I get so sick when I have to write that maintenance check or an extra check for some other issues that have come up with the timeshare. My husband has talked to several companies over the years that claim they will sell our timeshare, but they all want money up front. I say, if you're a realtor looking to sell my timeshare, why do I have to pay you? You should get your commission at closing. I think this companies are timeshare scams too.
