I was taken by the Avalon resort in Mexico and I called the company and signed up... I'm still waiting to see what they can do for me. Anybody have any luck with this resort??
I had a friend refer me and he said they were able to get him out oh his contract with Royal Holiday. I know this is a different deal but I am willing to try anything!

Avalon Vacation Club is a scam. They tell you lies to make you buy their packages. I bought their package and regret it very much. I wish I had done some research about them.

My husband and I were scammed by Avalon Vacation Club timeshare in 2013! We too were promised 10 break a way weeks that could be sold for $1, 000. That did not happen!! These are very very slick and polished sales people.

Don’t ruin your vacation with a presentation in Avalon Vacation Club. They use a lot of hardball psych techniques and I was pretty depressed for at least a day afterwards.

One of my relatives purchased 4-weeks with Avalon Vacation in Cancun for the main purpose of renting most of the weeks out and maybe using one or two himself. Stay tuned as I have no idea how that will work out.

I just sat through the Avalon sales pitch in Cancun. It was pretty high pressure and VERY misleading and skewed in presentation. The salesman turned rude as soon as I asked the first couple of questions - his attitude seemed to be incredulous that I would question anything within the program.
Take advantage of the "free stuff" if you have 3+ hours to waste (don't believe the 90 minutes they tell you). But be very wary of closing the deal ... do your research and, in my opinion, you will be far better off without the program.

I went to Avalon Vacation Club and got suckered into buying. This was June 24th the day after we got there. I tried to get out of it the following morning after realizing what I had done and they said "its too late you already signed the contract". I have not given them "anything" except for a 299.00 to "seal" the contract. What do I do???? Do I contact my bank to put a hold on them trying to get the 2, 000.00 down payment.??? And then what, according to my bank the 299.00 has not come out of my account yet.
